Quality Airport Hotel Stavanger — Hotel in Sola

We have stayed many times at the other hotels at Sola airport due to their closer proximity to the terminal. This time, however, we decided on The Quality airport because they offer nearly free parking and we would be away for 10 days. |First, on calling the hotel, they were very helpful and polite regarding information. |The rooms are excellent and very comfortable. ||We ate in the restaurant and were served by very very friendly staff - a waiter from Turkey and Kasha from Polen. Both were very polite and professional. We had the seldom served Wienerschnitzel with real veal, a Caesar salad and an absolutely fantastic cheese plate after dinner.||Breakfast was excellent and it was very easy to order a cab in the morning for a 150 kr. fare to the airport. |If one is going away for 10 days or more, this hotel is a no-brainer compared to what one has to pay for parking at...

If you want to rest, don't go here! They have central air conditioning, and you don't have control over it. It's so extremely loud, that it's not possible to sleep in the room, and they cannot turn it off either. I was offered another room, but it was the same. I had to use towels to block the air outlet. It's even louder then a basic standing fan on full blast.

Also, the windows are from the previous century, they don't block the noise from the airport, which you can see from the window. But the hotel is a 25 minute walk from the hotel, so you need to use a bus or a taxi, so you don't get the benefit of being close to the airport, you just get to noise from the airport.

Also, the basic rooms are not very clean, and they don't have an outlet next to your bed.

The lighting is bad also, there is no light in the room, just some desk lamps, if you want to read or...

This hotel was easy to get to, you could walk to the airport if the weather was fine and you weren't carrying too much luggage but less than 5 minutes in a taxi||The room was comfortable though I did note there was only one pillow provided for a double bed and also only one downy cover, - I found a second one rolled up beside the wardrobe.||The evening meal was very good, I ordered fish soup but be aware, I chose the smaller size and that was pretty overwhelming, apparently, the larger one is brimming and for a starter, I think would be too much for the average human. No faults other than to cut portion sizes and don't add too much salt as the soup is pretty salty ||I checked out the following day and there was a taxi waiting for me so for around 14 NKr and a 5-minute drive I was at the airport|I would definitely...
