Quality Airport Hotel Værnes — Hotel in Stjørdal

I stayed 4 nights last week in this hotel. I selected this hotel for proximity to work as it allowed me to avoid public transport which is deemed safer regarding COVID. This hotel was more expensive than the other two option at Vaernes Airport that were further away from work. From which you can only expect that the 'Standard Room' will be above average. However, this was clearly not the case. Important to mention that the hotel was overall COVID-safe, if not for the other costumers that were not wearing a mask. About my room... It turns out that I was given the simplest room without even a closet to hang my clothes or a 'Do not disturb' sign. My main problem was that out of 5-6 floor with at least 50 rooms each, I was given the room at the very end of the hotel corridor that was directly by the side of the building that was under renovations. Also, I only saw about 10 people at breakfast, which gives no excuse as to why out of 200+ rooms I was given the one next to the worksite. I wouldn't mind if they limited themselves to normal working hours, but I could see the scaffolding next to my room window and there was a crane/elevator going up and down in the evening as late as 9-10 pm. I just don't get why they gave me that room out of all the empty ones they had and why is this more expensive than a normal hotel without elevator shows during sleeping times. I was on a business trip working long hours which is why I came back to the hotel during late hours and I found no one in the reception to raise these issues with. Also check out is performed by putting your card on a box, so no chance to explain all this...

The stay here was just simply a touch of magic. I came in late and was going to do interviews and without question, the hotel would help on the spot. They arranged for coffee, water and even greeted the candidates and assisted me in whatever quest. I am truly grateful for such an expertise of service and the professionalism showed.

The same thing went on the very next day with just as good service!

The breakfast was good and with lots of healthy choices, Natural yoghurt, eggs with no butter, really good coffee and the staff went around and filled up our coffee cups, it just made my day and it's what we say, a good breakfast sets the startingpoint for the rest of the day!

I have stayed here several times. Even with Stjørdal not being the center of the univers the hotel is close to Værnes Airport and the Train Station. I costs very little to get to Trondheim by bis or Train and sparking is free!

The room is great (I got the Suite), the staff and management is great and helps with all question you might have.

Only small things to do better, like the smart function on the Tv that is not accessible. Nowadays you want to stream from your Phone or tablett. Might be an easy fix. And close to Sweden a fridge in the room would be great - but the staff helped gratious with my "harryhandel".

Recommended if you have time and not the need to be in the center of Trondheim. I definetly will be back...
