When we were visiting the camping it was high season, although it wasn't packed (Thu - Sat). There is a lot of tent spots available - some are better some are worse. We picked something not super far from sanitary buildings - and it was nice. ||Showers/toilets/kitchen sinks are available, although be prepared for some waiting time during peak times (wc/shower - morning and evening). It was though still within reasonable limits. WC/showers were clean during our stay - I think this might have also something to do in general with "current guests". ||The heli trip around Preikestolen that you can buy there is magnificent - absolutely recommended! ||We stayed for 2 nights and hiked Preikestolen by foot from the camping. It requires a bit of fitness - but if I would do it again if asked. ||Nearest shops I visited were in Jörpelund - and yes, buying food (esp. grill meat) in Norway is more expensive than flying in a helicopter, so make sure you bring your OWN food. ||The Internet is OK around the reception building and inside there is a small cafe. We managed to get some work done from there incl. video meetings.||When it comes to prices - this place is "scandinavian budget" - meaning - it's cheap for Scandinavians but might be perceived as "more than average" for travelers from outside...

This camping is totally fine, it has all the facilities you will need for very reasonable price.

We stayed here for 2 nights in tents/a month ago/. Tentsite is located close to the heliport, which I hated as much as I could, the strong heliwinds blown away all my stuff and almost my tent aswell. People were still coming for the helitrip so it lasted more than a hour - it was a real test for our tents.

In the campsite there is not so much place for tents, mostly for caravans and motorhomes I'd say. Close to the tentsite, there are power plugs with pouring /I hope drinkable/ water as well which is imo very dangerous, I almost didn't notice power plugs while I was refilling my bottle and cleaning something. Dish washing can be also done in the kitchen.

Showers were kept clean and as far as I remember it was free. Hot water for free - yes, that's right.

TV room was available at reception so we could watch football world cup. Also, at the reception there is a wide variety of...

I give it only 2 starts not because of few things. First the showers are really bad, you have to push on the shower button almost all the time while showering so the water doesn’t stop and the shower water was so hard on the body so it was not a nice feeling while showering. But there was always hot water so this is really good. It was a long waiting line to the shower and to the toailets so more toailets and showers would be necessary. The camping was not so big so it was full of people and cars with no space to just sit and be alone for a moment. Another thing that was bad it that it was too muddy. The only good things was the reception with good service, coffee, bread and muffins for breakfast. And in the reception they had many beautiful souvenirs that we could buy. We needed the camping place as an emergency but we didn’t really enjoyed it, except for the really good coffee and breakfast we had at...

Very practical campsite if you’re planning to hike to Preikestolen – it’s just a short drive from the parking area. The campground is large, with separate spaces for tents and camper vans. Toilets and showers are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with free hot water. There’s also a laundry room available, which is super convenient for longer stays. However, the site doesn’t offer much in terms of views or atmosphere. It feels more like a stopover than a place to enjoy and relax. What we missed the most was a proper shared kitchen – there’s only a dishwashing area, but no real place to cook or hang out. Overall, it’s functional and convenient, especially for hikers, but lacks the charm or community vibe we experienced at other campsites.

Great camping for a one to two day stop. There are enough camping spots (even when most travelers arrive at the end of the day). Commodities can be a bit over burdened when there are a lot of people on the camping. Take a few dirty/clogged toilet’s as example. But fixed quite rapidly in my opinion. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food on the camping was great when you came back from the Preikestolen (although on the pricy side at the time). Would recommend!
