Lidasanden — Hotel in Stryn

Absolutely a dream vacation in this beautiful cabin for 8 to 10 people. My family in Chicago came to visit us for the first time in Norway and to me, the best way to show Norway to them is to bring them to Dalsnibba, Geiranger fjord, Plattingen (viewpoint of Trollstigen Road), Loen Skylift and Stryn in their 6 days stay in Norway. They felt in love with the location of the cabin right away. Down by a lake surrounded by tall mountains. My nieces made use of the trampoline. They even dared to take a swim in the lake on a windy day but they realized fast that it was not a good idea. Very cold indeed but I just let them see it for themselves. While we were on holiday, the weather was very nice. Sunny all the time. ||||Since we drove from Oslo, we ordered that the beds are prepared upon our arrival and ordered cleaning of the cabin instead of us doing it upon our departure. It was worth paying the extra fee. It took us 8 hours from Oslo to the location of the cabin to drive as we had a number of stops along the way (stopping for breaks and taking pictures of the beautiful nature).||||Loen Skylift is very close about 30 min to drive while Geiranger fjord was less than 2 hours.||||The owners were very kind and the mom was the one I talked with most of the time. ||||I would like to come back here. They also have a cabin for 2 to 4 people only. Magical place. To buy food, the town of Stryn is about 10-15 min to drive. ||||I am very glad my guests were very happy with the cabin and the location. Our visit to Norway was even better because we chose Lidasanden. There are two houses in total located right by the lake with wonderful views. We had a house with the grass on the roof, which was very unusual. The house inside is spacious enough for up to 5 people, although it would be a little difficult to share bathroom if there is more people staying. ||It was 5 of us and we were absolutely happy with everything we had.From the very beginning we felt very comfortable thanks to the homy and cozy atmosphere.||||At first the microwave was missing in the kitchen and it was pretty hard for us to cook without one, but after we asked the host if he had any he brought a brand new microwave the next day! We were pleasantly surprised by such gesture. ||||The rooms are not really big, however we never spent time in our bedrooms as there is a very nice living room with a rocking chair and those amazing views from the windows.||||Outside it was really beautiful. We stayed n Lidabu cabin for a week in August and it was the most beautiful places we stayed in in Norway ( at least 20 during the last years).||There was everything needed for our comfort, the view was superb, The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom adequate. Since the weather turned cold the last few days and it rained hard we were glad to find out that we could drink our coffee outside even the rain under the small roof and enjoy the most beautiful view.||There were blackberries bushes by the cabin and the landlady told us we could pick as many as we wanted. We even prepared some jam to take back with us.||The place is very quiet and the fact we had to go 15 km to the nearest supermarket was no problem since there was a good road. the town had everything we needed including several cafes and cafeterias. and since we needed a doctor a good and quite cheap health service. ||We loved...
