MARINA SOHAR HOTEL — Hotel in Al Batinah North Governorate

Room- the sea facing view was good but as night fell due to the windows not being sound proof I could hear people chatting down the road and as locals sat on the Cornish till late night and laughed and talked I could hear everything in my room. Finally at 4 am the group of people left and we could sleep.

Tv- (brand star gold) the TV would not connect to the hotels WiFi as the WiFi was too slow so had to connect it to my phone to enjoy YouTube as they only have Arabic channels. Also once the tv is turned on you cannot turn it off but it eventually worked as a night lamp but a bright one.

Services - I paid OMR28 for a hotel that did not have room service. They also only gave us 4 bottles of 250 ml of water extra water we had to get from outside. They did not even have option for tea and coffee.

Great Stay at Marina Sohar Hotel

I had a wonderful experience at Marina Sohar Hotel. While I felt the price was slightly on the higher side, everything else was excellent. The front desk staff were very professional and welcoming, especially the night shift gentleman, who was truly outstanding.

For breakfast, we chose the English option, which included scrambled eggs, vegetable soup, boiled red beans, mushrooms, sausage, coffee, tea, butter, toasted bread, and yogurt. They also offer an Arabic breakfast as an alternative. The café staff were very friendly and helpful, making the dining experience enjoyable. Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM, which is convenient.

I stayed in Marina Hotel, Sohar, Oman in May 2023.||The family room size was 45sqm and full sea view, when I preebooked it on Booking.com ||However, on arrival the actual size of our Room was less than 25sqm and looking onto some old derelict shacks.
