I would like to apologize in advance for the length of my review. My trip to Oman was primarily for the purpose of obtaining a Dubai visa for my mother, which required me to exit the country. Unfortunately, for reasons beyond our control, the visa application was rejected, and we found ourselves having to spend two days in Oman, specifically in the city of Sohar, as it is close to the borders.
During our unexpected stay, we embarked on the task of finding suitable accommodation for our short stay. We explored several hotels in the area, but were dissatisfied with the reviews and, upon visiting some of them in person, found them lacking in ambiance and hygiene. It was during this search that we stumbled upon a 3-star hotel that hadn't even crossed our minds initially, but its reviews spoke highly of it.
Upon visiting this hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to find that it exceeded our expectations by far, surpassing even the 5-star hotels we had considered in Sohar. It was impeccably clean, remarkably quiet, had no unpleasant odors, and maintained high levels of hygiene. What's more, it was a significantly more economical choice.
We decided to book a 2-bedroom suite, and we were delighted with what we found. The rooms, the hall, the washrooms, and the kitchen were all well-maintained and comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and incredibly helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
Another advantage of this hotel was its convenient location, with a pharmacy, Lulu supermarket, and Osais Mall nearby. If you happen to find yourself in Sohar, I highly recommend considering this hotel...
Read moreThe hotel meets expectations for a 3_star hotel. Most often it's quiet. The rooms and kitchens are spacious, well-lit and well equipped. Staff are super welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located near two major streets. If you have a car, it's very easy to get around everywhere. There's a big supermarket and a very good cafe near and on the site, so, you can get most of your basics easily on foot. But the country is heavily designed around driving and I found nowhere that is truly walkable. The two things I didn't like and the reason I dropped a point are: Extremely heavy smell of insect repellent pills which are put everywhere, I assume mainly to repel cockroach. It must be pretty effective as I didn't see any during my week of stay. But they're perhaps equally effective on humans too! The second minor issue was that the rooms where very clean but during the packing day as we started to get under the beds and coaches to watch for possible lost toys, we saw years of dust collection and we also got a lot of dust mites bite. I suggest the hotel makes more effort in deep cleaning on a regular basis. That said, in general I found my stay pretty pleasant and would stay again if I need to...
Read moreI stayed here for a night while on an official trip to Batinah region with a colleague. We had booked a two bedroom apartment and had also opted for the breakfast (which was RO 2 per person). ||||The hotel apartment is centrally located with many restaurants and supermarkets close by. The rooms were big and the apartment clean. The wifi was ok (we were on the 3rd floor).||||The disappointment came the second day. When we came down for breakfast at around 7.20 in the morning, we came to know that they do not have a in-house restaurant and have a tie up with the restaurant next door and that restaurant will open after 8 am!!!||||As we had a busy day ahead of us, we checked out and had to stop at a fuel station to have something since that early we could not find anything open in Sohar!!!||||But given an option, I would stay...
