I came with a rent 4WD, so be prepared to find the way off-road. About 5km from the last small village with paved roads. 4WD is a must, otherwise you get stuck in deep sand. The villas are without frills, from my point of view this meets exactly the environment you are in: desert. It is easy to walk out into the dunes to experience sunset/sunrise or enjoy the stars at night. ||If coming by 2WD car, it will cost 10-15OMR for the rest of the way to the camp, which is a little expensive.
