We stayed here for 2 nights in December. The hotel is exactly as it is described. We booked a two bedroom apartment. The rooms were large, clean and relatively modern and had all the items listed when we booked. The rooftop pool was clean but too cold to go in which was disappointing. Breakfast was pleasant although you only had 1-2 items on the menu to choose from but the food quality was good and adequate portion size. There was a good choice of food to choose for lunch or dinner should you stay in the hotel to dine. The restaurant was open all day and very reasonably priced. I would recommend the noodle and the curries (especially the chicken masala).||||There was adequate parking at the front of the hotel and leaflets of all the top tourist attractions in the seating area of the lounge. You could also change currency at the reception desk.||||Location was great for us as we wanted to be on the outskirts of the city, however, if you want the hussle and bustle of the city this isn't the area to choose as it was very quiet and peaceful.||||What made the hotel stand out for us was the staff who were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. One evening we had torrential rain and there was a power cut for approx 3 hours, the staff were very apologetic and offered us dates, coffee and chai tea which I had never tried before and thoroughly enjoyed. They couldn't apologise enough for the inconvenience and were so hospitable. We also met the General Manager who talked to us about the hotel and places to visit in Oman and Muscat. He even offered me his hat and coat when my daughter and I went out for a walk in the rain. A true gentleman.||||In my overall opinion, you get what you pay for and the hotel is exactly as described. If you prefer a small hotel with welcoming and friendly staff this is the one to choose.||||Thank you for an enjoyable stay and should we return to the beautiful city of Muscat in the future we would certainly...
Read moreIt is ‘A HOME AWAY FROM HOME’. ||One of the best hotels with amazing staff who are very friendly, professional, and very helpful. They go out of their way to ensure that their guests have a comfortable stay and attend to their guests’ every small requirement. From the Hotel manager to the reception staff and the House-keeping boys just team-up as one family and leave no stone unturned until their guests are at ease. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, with an excellent view. It is away from the noisy city, with utter quietness, and very convenient and well located with supermarkets & restaurants in walkable distance. I highly recommend this Hotel which is indeed a wonderful experience. The guests are pampered and addressed by their names, noting down their smallest requirement. It is indeed worth noting that the staff have an eye for every tiny detail of the guests and a proper hand-over is done, not to miss out on anything. ||At a point, the manager even went an extra mile to buy a mosquito bat in order to tackle the issue of the swarming mosquitoes in the hotel, due to weather-change, which was really very touching. They take the guests’ problems as their responsibility and try their best to resolve it. It is their ever willingness to help the guests, that makes staying in this Hotel, a very unique experience.||I strongly recommend this Hotel and feel all should experience...
Read moreI had the pleasure of staying at Pioneer Hotel in Muscat for 7 nights with my family, and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, Mr. Balaji stood out as a true professional and a genuinely kind-hearted individual. Having traveled extensively across the globe, I’ve rarely encountered such warmth and attention to detail from a hospitality professional. He went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our stay was perfect, taking meticulous care of all our requirements.
The South Indian breakfast offered by the hotel is a must-try—delicious and authentic. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and we opted for an apartment-style accommodation with two bedrooms, comfortably accommodating four people. It also featured two large, attached washrooms, which added to the convenience.
The hotel’s atmosphere is serene, and the cleanliness is outstanding. For those who value spiritual practices, the rooms are thoughtfully designed with a Qibla direction marker on the ceiling. This attention to detail reflects the hotel’s commitment to catering to diverse guest needs.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Balaji and the entire Pioneer Hotel team for making our stay so memorable. May they continue to thrive in their endeavors. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone...
