We arrived in Palau at 11pm after 28 hours of travel. The person that picked us up, late, turned out to be the manager and spoke little English. The owners were in Japan and I had read great reviews about them and looked forward to their hospitality. The room, while very clean, was in the back with no windows. It was like being in a box with a bed. In the morning we looked for the manager but couldn't find him. We were having difficulty trying to figure out how to get from there to where we were staying the rest of the time. Fortunately a tour guide from Impak (Tanzie) showed up to pick up others and helped us out. He finally found the manager and with Tanzie's help we checked out and left. He confirmed me 2 weeks before my visit a room for 30USD in a dorm. 2h before my flight takes off he writes me the bed isn‘t available anymore, only a single room for 60USD. The reason, I could not go in the room at 02:00am. But all the flights to Koror arrive at 02:00am, there is no other choice. His concern: „You will wake up the other guests“. Eeehm…yes that is normal in Hostels and everybody who decides to sleep in a hostel knows what he is going into. He get really rough in the text messages and just said: „You can find someone else‘s hotel“. Really what a mad human are you, cancel the room 2h before somebody arrives in the middle...
