Fabienne and Benoit gave us 5* service with a personal, French touch. Their place is beautiful. Tucked away in the middle of the mangroves on Isla Solarte it’s a little hidden paradise. We arrived weary and a little tired (having slightly overexerted ourselves in Panama City 😬) to be greeted by Benoit who picked us up from the shuttle and take us to Villa F&B. The boat took no more than ten mins and when we arrived we were greeted with a fresh mojito and their cute dog Sanka. Throughout the day Benoit kept our drinks topped up and gave us complimentary lobster and other treats that made us feel like VIPs. The accommodation is gorgeous and as the place isn’t fairly new in amazing condition. Benoit was always seeing what our plans were and organised a tour to Zapatillas beach as well as the floating bar (both a must!). The cherry on top though was Fabiennes cooking. WOW. Just wow. I’m gluten intolerant and fabienne managed to make delicious GF bread and cakes so I never felt like I was missing out and the three course meals each night were some of the best we had in all of Panama. Seriously, if you’re looking for a nice relax, with 5* service, great food and a beautiful location i doubt you will beat Villa F&B. It doesn’t have loads of reviews here as it sure fairly new but I don’t normally write comments on TA and was compelled no to do so given how good an experience we had. It’s also only ten mins by boat to the main town which means you’re close enough to the action without having to stay in it! Just make sure you let Benoit know plans to go into town so he can organise ahead for you (it takes some preparation). ||||Ps There’s some reviews about the flies around the property. These are the sand flies that make an appearance at dawn and dusk all over the islands. It’s part and parcel of staying in the jungle but with some heavy duty bug spray it’s often ok! Benoit also has his own citronella/coco oil/eucalyptus spray he offers to everyone which...

Read moreWe found the heaven on earth there with Fabienne and Benoit. The room was large enough, quiet, clean, with hot water and Wi-Fi, also the temperature in the room was optimal. There was a pool available a really excellent restaurant operated by Fabienne and Benoit and both were always concerned about all guests, you immediately felt that they run their accommodation from the heart and you have the impression they feel there just as comfortable as their guests.
The food was fantastic, breakfast and dinner in three courses and lovingly decorated. They were very accommodating and also helpful regarding day trips, Benoit even drove us to the red frog beach for free. We definitely recommend doing this when you are there, it was one of the nicest beaches I have seen so far with really extremely cool waves.
We could also borrow free kayaks from F&B and make the sea and the mangroves unsafe. The price/performance was really reasonable with €134 per night and you felt super comfortable, we will miss it. We have thought if there would be something to improve, but we have not found anything ;o) Absolutely all stars, love to Fabienne and Benoit and we hope we see...
