This was our second time visiting Bocas del Toro, Panama and may I say that this is by far the best place to stay on the island. Family of 3: 35 yrs, 36 yrs and an 8 year old boy.||||The Casita:||The Monkey Tree Casitas were set in the beautiful hillside and had all of the luxuries of nature and comfort. Our casita was immaculately clean and well kept. It had all of the necessities we needed for our week's stay. With that said, it also felt like we were staying in the middle of the jungle! The views outside of the place were filled luscious jungle and the howler monkeys would come for visits in the early mornings! ||||The Location:||By far, this is the place to stay in Bocas. To the left you can enter into town and dabble in the hustle and bustle of the city. To the right, you enter the secluded area of the island where we saw sloths, monkeys and so much more. The beaches are perfectly beautiful. Directly across from the Monkey Tree Casitas is a bar with access to the pool, beach, games, food and quad rentals! We rented quads for the extent of our trip and it was a magical way to explore the jungle.||||The host:||Heather was such an incredible host. She offered to pick us up from the airport upon our arrival. She continued to go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, offering rides when going into town. She was also a valuable resource of knowledge of the island. I thank her for my son being able to see crocodiles, monkeys, sloths etc. Her expertise was priceless! I booked this through Airbnb, but they would not let me renew my review rights. This was a bit disheartening. :( But needless to say, our experience was so good that I needed to write one here. ...

Read moreMy husband and I spent a beautiful week at Monkey Tree. The casita is absolutely immaculate, one of the best kept and cleanest places we've stayed. Comfortable bed, kitchen with everything you need, and my favorite, the cozy daybed with view of the lush green property. The breeze kept us comfortable. ||||Heather, the owner, was so welcoming, she picked us up from the airport, gave us a tour of the town, provided us with a local cell phone and helpful maps, and was available to bring extra towels and water. Her sweet daughter Eva even gave us a ride back to the airport.||||The location is great, away from the noise of Bocas Town, across the street from an amazing beach bar and next door to great wood-fired pizza, walking distance to gorgeous secluded beaches, and an easy taxi ride into town (taxis are pretty easy to flag down on the road). ||||We would definitely stay here again. Nights listening to the sound of rain on the roof and the jungle coming alive (we heard the monkeys too), lazy mornings reading on the day bed, and afternoons of fun - a...
