I will make this review as objective as I can. First of all, this is an outdoors-type activity hostel (not hotel). You will have access to a clean, comfortable room and clean bathrooms. Do not expect luxury or plush amenities. You are close to the jungle and the lake for an outdoor experience. ||Now, the experience part... the canopy lines are just awesome! you will not have this experience anywhere else in the world, zipping over the Gatun lake which feeds the Panama Canal. ||For the kids, there is a small animal population that you can tour and they will be able to see and feed water buffalos, sheep, goats, chickens and horses. If your kids are into animals, they will like the experience.||There is also a very challenging extreme park which features harnessed bridge crossings with different levels of difficulty. ||You can also go kayaking in Gatun Lake, which is very cool.||There is a restaurant in the facility that offers breakfast lunch and dinner and there is also a pool...
Read moreNice jungle hotel, very friendly service. A little hard to find, just ask the friendly people in the streets. Arriving there, you will see the love for nature. All is more or less self supporting. Simple but spacious rooms, nice furniture outside, bathroom, airco and free wifi (not always working). Free parking. Some rooms for family or small groups. Breakfast is served in a nearby jungle post, transportation by tractor is provided, very nice. The grounds offer lots of things to do, waking, climbing, visiting the lake, canopy trail etc. Many animals and fruits to be seen. A real nice surprise. Panama City is about 80 car minutes away. Colon approximately 30 minutes. The Caribbean coast of Portobelo (a must visit) about 60 minutes. Coronado about 2,5...
Read moreWhat an awesome experience!! We took 15 people to La Granja for fun and adventure. There was so much to do we couldn't get to everything but the kids had a blast!! Miguel went above and beyond to ensure that the kids were safe and the experience maximized. None of the kids had ever ziplined and now they are huge fans! He even worked with our activities coordinator to customize each stop as a road block with specifoc tasks to accomplish, which the kids loved!! The food was awesome!! Miguel's mom is an incredible chef! The manager Margarita was very patient and flexible as our times and activities changed. Oh and a special thanks to Kimberly for jumping to our aid with the water set up. Take our advice and plan to enjoy a funfilled day...
