Hotel Carisabel — Hotel in Coclé

Carisabel is situated in the small town of Aguadulce, province of Veraguas in Panama. About one hours drive from Santiago de Veraguas, the major city in this province.||||Not much to do in this small town of Aguadulce, but if you are looking for some peacefulness, tranquility, it offers it. People are friendly, pleasant.||||Carisabel itself from the outside looks impressive as it sits on a street corner , with a large covered terrace not used at the moment ; Carisabel does not offer a lobby for entrance but more a side door with a counter that looks more like a doctors waiting room. Not impressive. But, there is a live receptionist at all hours .||||Next to that side entrance, there is a small casino that could fit into a North American living room, really small with one employee in attendance.||||Why did I call it a motel ? A large iron gate on wheels , opened during the day, gives you access to your room door with space in front of the room for parking your car ; on both sides of this courtyard are lined up the various rooms.||||Oddly, a small (living room size) swimming pool , mainly for children, sits next to an outside bar with barbecue stand . In the afternoon heat , it could offer some respite.||||The room itself provides a double bed with linen that shows its wear; airconditioning works well , a TV with cable sits high on the wall opposite the bed, plenty of cupboards for your luggage and clothing, a hot water shower . Good working utilities but can be seen this building will need renovation in one to two years.||||Best place and location in Aguadulce, it seems to be used by Panamanian middle classes with their families ( children).||||A restaurant attached to the other street side gives a free wholesome breakfast ( eggs, toast, coffee or prk steak ).||||For the price, it is a...

If you're coming from a larger city with more tourist attraction, this will definitely not be the best experience. However, Aguadulce is not known for its tourism so it's understandable why the quality of hotels are quite disappointing. ||I came to this hotel for a night because I had to visit family members in Aguadulce and a nearby town within the space of 2 days. ||When I first found the room it was unclean, but after politely asking the staff they managed to provide me with cleaner sheets, towels and other necessities. |No hot water was available in the shower, and traffic noise could be a problem for some.||If you're not fussed about room service or cleanliness and know you won't be spending most of your day in the hotel, this should be a decent option. In my opinion, it feels more like a motel than a hotel, but I still regard it to be the best...

Stayed 1 night after long drive from Panama City. Good security for your rental car behind fenced and closed gate. Staff very friendly and helpful. Has a bar and restaurant. The price was right as there are not a lot of choices in this area. The rooms were good enough with tv ,ac, good beds. A small clean pool was an extra.
