Playa Escondida Resort & Marina — Hotel in Colón

We stayed in a unit in this community. It is a beautiful place and has wonderful facilities and restaurants. There were two significant problems that really disappointed us, particularly how expensive it was to stay here.

1. There was no hot water in the showers in our unit; and
2. Our family was badly bitten by sand fleas at the beach and are still dealing with symptoms. It's also surprising that this happened given the incredible amount of fumigation that takes place here. They seemed to fumigate every day (which can't be that healthy for humans). These two things are unacceptable for a place of this caliber and this price point, and we are not sure we...

Only 1.5 hour north of Panama City. Beautiful Caribbean beaches, airbnbs for rent. This is a gated community so it does not get busy, and there are no loud speakers playing at the beach. It's truly a perfect spot to go and relax. There are cabanas for rent from the administration office. Worth renting in my option - you have to be there before 11:30am to avoid your space being taken by someone else. But if you don't you can always just take an empty spot if after 12:30. Restaurant on site is good but all the resort units have a kitchen so it's worth just bringing up all your necessities . Small tienda on site for those...
