Hostal Saguime S.A. — Hotel in El Empalme

Not a whole lot of choice in Changuinola... Um, it's cheap. Owner spoke just enough English. We took the large dorm with 5 beds which was pristine, no complaints about the cleanliness of the room or the attached bathroom. But no hot water and no mirror. The common room / kitchen upstairs was squalid. No clean cutlery or crockery, and no easy way to clean anything because every surface had dirty stuff on it. No visible way to make coffee. The pool looked terrifying. Very noisy location - you can look forward to the complete set of dogs, cats, cars, motorcycles, trucks, trucks' engine-braking, shouting neighbors, fire-crackers and roosters clearly audible all night because the window was...

If you need a place to stay after crossing from Costa Rica and may be too late for the boats, this one is safe and easy. Changuanola is not a tourist...

Vuelvo y volveré una y otra vez. Excelente espacio para pasar la noche si vas de paso o a compras en changuinola. Desde alli te llega en taxi por $1!! Siempre me atienden mejor que en la propia casa. Precio accesible, Habitaciones super cómodas, tienes tu baño privado y aire Ac.. La cocina es espaciosa y completa con todo lo que precisas para preparar tus comidas.
