La Rosa de Los Vientos — Hotel in Los Santos

On our first visit to Panama we found this little B & B not far from the beach in Pedasi. Our room opened to a delightful little patio with hammocks to relax in and a beautiful lush green yard with birds and small wildlife. Our hostess was charming. Our breakfast was a simple meal of eggs, fruit and toast. This place is so peaceful and so beautiful we knew we had to come back. Not only to visit, but staying here did a huge job of turning our desire for a peaceful retirement into a reality. Isabella is charming and quite accommodating. When we decided to return a few months later, we realized she and her husband would be out of town. To our delight, she hired someone to stay there during our second visit, just so we could once again stay in this peaceful, comfortable environment. Now that's a grat hostess! After staying there we decided to buy property just up the road and have returned to Pedasi to build our home and retire...

We (being 2 couples) chanced upon this little gem of a place during some beach touring in Pedasi. This place is close to Playa el Toro and we discovered it on our way back into town from the beach.They just happened to have 2 rooms (there are 3 in total) available for us for a one-night stay. The rooms are plain but very comfy and very clean. There's no A/C but you don't need it. There's always fresh breezes blowing through the place from the nearby ocean and with the added bonus of ceiling fans, we slept very comfortably. Isabel and Robert (the owners) speak English and were very helpful in every way. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast outdoors on the terrace on a sunny and bright morning amongst the lovely flowers and trees on this property. We hated to have to leave but we'd definitely come back if we're in the Pedasi area...

Edificación precaria, lleno de mosquitos y lagartijas en el interior de la habitación. Reserve en la rosa de los vientos siguiendo los consejos de esta web en la que pienso hay opiniones exageradamente positivas que no se ajustan a la realidad. ||La edificación es excesivamente precaria y no aísla suficientemente del medio natural, por lo que no puedo aconsejarlo para quien no quiere alojarse en una cabaña.||Las vistas al mar, no entiendo cómo hay huéspedes que las han visto y calificado como las mejores de Panamá! Realmente hay que tener imaginación para distinguir el mar del cielo allá en el horizonte. Y Panamá tiene Mar Caribe y Océano Pacífico que regala vistas únicas, pero no es el caso de este alojamiento.||Si está en plena naturaleza eso no es cuestionable, tanto que la naturaleza entra dentro de la habitación que se convierte en el hogar de lagartijas y mosquitos, con prioridad absoluta!||Como además este lugar vende un concepto 'eco', prescinde del aire acondicionado pero a cambio hay que enchufar a la red un ventilador ruidoso y un ventilador de techo que ni juntos logran el ambiente fresco que algunos comentarios describen. Por favor, la ecosostenibilidad en arquitectura es otra cosa, no trata de sustituir la energía del AC para luego usarla en ventiladores.|| El ambiente dentro de la habitación, en la que no se podía abrir la puerta ni encender la luz para no ser invadido por los insectos y reptiles, más todavía, era insoportable.||Cuando hicimos saber a la dueña nuestra incomodidad, alegó que era el campo y que Panamá es así. La amabilidad con la que nos había recibido un señor a nuestra llegada se tornó en un trato hostil, invitándonos a abandonar el alojamiento.||Eso hicimos, afortunadamente encontramos habitación es un hotel en Pedasi que cumplía sobradamente nuestras expectativas y que demostraba que Panamá no es la rosa de los vientos.||Creo que es interesante definir correctamente los alojamientos para que cada uno pueda elegir y las descripciones de este alojamiento en diversos medios definen...
