The positive-friendly, wonderful staff and a great breakfast. ||The negative: I am disabled and requested a King bed. The only one offered was on the second floor and no elevator. We were told that there were none available on the first floor. Once we got the manager involved-there WAS a King on the first floor down a long hall so we went with a room with two doubles as walkIng is painful. ||The room was clean and there is a bottle of water for you. The bathroom had no hot water and we told the front desk and on our second day-no hot water. The shower had mold in it on the grout and glass tiles. ||The big disappointment was that the lobby snack bar, the pool bar and the big bar were all closed despite being listed as perks of the hotel. The big bar was supposed to be open on Wednesday and it wasn’t. There was one waiter that we flagged down and he served us drinks and dinner on the patio. The big bar was open last night and the others remained closed. ||It is not as advertised and I have photos of it all. I know as an American I am spoiled and yet we should get what is advertised on...
Read moreThis was one of the best hotels I stayed at in Panama. Very clean large they have a great pool great bar. They had this little mini duo basketball set up. I don’t really know how to explain it, but it’s the kind of that you would have in your house. They also had a ping-pong table. But what they didn’t have was an elevator. So keep that in mind, lol. The pool had a swim bar, but I didn’t have a chance to get in the pool, but it looked great. The room was small, but well appointed had everything that I needed. There’s a mall like 30 seconds away. It’s easy to catch a cab to get there. Or if you’re feeling adventurous, you can walk there. I did have dinner in the restaurant and I wasn’t like overly thrilled with the food however it wasn’t horrible. They did have some good desserts. I picked up a slice of cheesecake. And the alcoholic drink drinks were very good too. I will recommend this place as long as you don’t need an elevator. It’s only two floors, but for someone who can’t make it upstairs this is not the place for you. Otherwise it’s...
Read moreWe had stayed at this hotel last year on at least 3 different occasions due to business. The last visit was during Christmas time 2018 and the premises were still very well kept. This time, however, we were shocked too see how deteriorated the facilities were, mold on the tables and seats in the pool area, peeling headboards in the rooms, rotting wooden door frame in the bathroom, and smell of mold once we walked into the room. People at the reception desk were somewhat friendly, as always, however service at the restaurant was painfully slow. Same goes for the servers at the pool bar. They were not at all friendly. I even began to think that one particular young man at the pool bar had a personal issue with us because he's never cracked a smile since we've been going to the hotel. Food was still tasty though! All in all, we won't be going back, no longer worth the $100+ a night that they charge. Sad because we used to really...
