I’m writing this review while things are fresh in my memory. I stayed Sun 11/11 until Tuesday 11/13 (today is 11/14). I booked the trip for 2 nights and decided to send them an email just to confirmed, because a previous review advised that when they showed up and nothing appeared in the system. I promptly received an email asking for proof of my reservation which I forward it and done (zero hassle).|Getting there is not difficult at all, there’s plenty if signs and the roads are well maintained. Check in is at 3PM, we arrived around 1pm and went to closest restaurant (only 1) to eat lunch while killing time. Food was good (nothing fancy).|1st night: it was us (Mom & I) and another couple. Super chill night and we got to enjoy the wood fire while roasting marshmallows. I read another review that mentioned it gets windy at night, and I agree; however as light sleeper it didn’t bother me because you can hear the insects and the wind flowing through the trees (soothing) but you may want to bring earplugs because that’s all you’ll hear at night (we didn’t see earplugs in our room nor asked the staff if they had some)|The staff was super friendly. No restaurant on site but you can place an order from the near by restaurant and they pick it up for you (latest time for delivery is 7:30pm). Our dinner was delivered a little after but no major wait. Breakfast is included with your stay and the staff gets your order the night before and it’s served between 8-8:30am. |The next morning we hopped on our day tour which is included with your stay and it’s about 2 hours. We enjoyed it so much that the next day we hopped on our car to check out other waterfalls TOTALLY WORTH IT (Chorro el Encanto) was a beauty. The paths are well maintained and signaled. No issues for my mom and I do it on our own. |Day 2: First couple left and another group of 4 arrived. AND THIS IS THE BAD PART OF MY REVIEW. Not the place or the accommodations. |The hotel should have a policy for music (as in playing your own music in your tent while other paying guest are also staying in the same place). Each cabin is a tent! NO THICK WALLS and the place is so quiet that noise can become an issue. Our next door guests were playing games and their music UNTIL CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT!!! Being next door I could hear their conversations as if I was there! I called the number the staff had given me and NOBODY answered and I wasn’t going to walk over to get their music turned off - this was disappointing because the hotel should have a policy for these type of scenarios. We aren’t @ the beach, this is supposed to be a disconnect, tranquil place but the 2nd night wasn’t for...
Read moreThe road to get there is a little curvy but pleasant to the view...just getting there and start viewing all pine trees made me think of another country. The tents are part like an apartment the bathroom was excelent...the roof was a tent that was very secure...with zippers to get rid of the insects. We got luck because the weather was so nice...with sun in the afternoon and we could lay on this beautiful and very clean green grass. The food we have to transfer ourselves to a restautant nearby for the dinner, breakfast and lunch...but it worth it because there were very restaurant quality type and the service was nice...we order our plates beforehand and was almost ready while we came... the fish we ordered was so fresh and the fritters were delicious...the panamenian breakfast meat with onions was to not be dismiss the the fried plantains and yuca. The night was very peaceful and the jnternet connection were perfect...yes you would not get bore with your electronics...they allowed you to do your own stuff...if you didn't plan anything just shut all the lights and stare to the stars. The fireplace were a big grwat plus ..because they gave us marshmallows with long metlic stivks so we don't get burn...they also said you can bring your own food to bbq it...but that will be for the next time...I'll...
Read moreWe spent one night and two half days in this Glamp site. The local restaurent which is the only way to get a meal .. for lunch there it took 3 hours from start to finish! with two kids this is not fun! ||Best thing to do is to get the food delivered to the camp site, which is what we did for dinner and breakfast ... and it is good food.||The rooms are nice. and clean ... with good shower and toilet facilities, the guided tour is good, where you get to see the beauty of the place. ||At night you are left totally on your own! there is the security gaurd only, and if you need anything you have to ask him, who is helpful. ||In the mini bar which is the only way to get water, there are two small bottles .. this needs to be revisited. ||The contact personell NEVER answer thier phones and I hope nobody has a emergency .. as this is not acceptable at all. ||There is a high level of wind.. so those who are sensitive to noise your sleep at night might be disrupted.. I think they shoudl provide ear plugs as a nice gesture. ||For the money you pay .. its a bit over priced...
