SO impressed with this hotel! We were not sure what to expect given some of the reviews but I honestly cannot imagine how anyone can complain about this gorgeous property. The room was large and immaculate. The furnishings for the pool and beach area were very elegant, the fire pits, pools, everything was 10/10. Staff were lovely! The breakfast buffet was fabulous. The views of the ocean, beach and sunset over the mountains was stunning. Yes, there is some construction still, however we didn’t feel that it was overly intrusive. They are also paving the incoming road which will make for a smoother drive in, as soon as it’s done. Incredible value overall.

First, the good stuff- Rooms were brand new, comfortable and soooo well equipped. I think everyone has an ocean view. The breakfast was amazing & desk staff courteous and on their game. Parking was covered and convenient. The uncontrollable- our smoke detector ran out of battery at 2 am and started chirping like crazy. There’s a coffee pot, but no coffee. One of the cabinets wasn’t installed properly and the door fell off. The downsides- restaurant staff. Goooood golllly these people need hospitality training. I kept wanting to the kitchen I was going on. I don’t think they have an expo at all. Can I stay a week and show them how it should be done?

Help is slow and inattentive...food good but usually cold when served...very under staffed...bar slowwwww. Maybe not trained? Our friends room had no hot water,no hooks for towels,no door on closet, no mirror. HOTEL 80% EMPTY. But their room was as close to the construction as possible...the construction worker was on their deck...which is miniscule! Don't try to get a drink around the pool no waitstaff...we are renting next door construction very loud at 7:30 am ...pool is FILTHY!! Complained to management and the delovoper...the said pool would be cleaned but use hotel pool...it is 10 days later and they haven't cleaned the pool yet!!

Radisson River Panama (RRP here after)... What to say? Well, first off, this really a timeshare masquerading as a hotel. The property more commonly is seen as "Playa Caracol" in local road signage. It's not terribly close to anything, so plan on taking at least two hour or three hours on a Saturday to get here. The road off the Pan American Highway isn't too bad; it takes 30 minutes but if you proceed carefully, you'll get thru it. The staff tries mightily to serve you but you find these good natured people aren't very interested in plying you with alcohol. The sense I get is that they apply their own Panamanian sensibilities to your own needs. They don't use salt, so why would you? Why would you spend so much on beer and drinks at a bar? What about tips, people? Everyone seems satisfied with 7%. (This appeared to be the defaultt setting to all credit card transactions BTW). Each room has a dorm-like kitchen, so load up on basics at a supermarket before coming. The little store on the property is very basic and high priced. The only thing included is breakfast, which might be limited. (No eggs one day, buffet style on the weekends). The one restaurant does not have enough of a selection to make you come back for a week straight. If you're a family looking for secluded, this a good bet. If you're single, looking for action, head over to Playa Coronado. There is nothing at RRP but the hotel, the beach, and the pool so far. Lotsa construction ( and noise) from 9 to 5 Monday thru Saturday BTW! I'm sure this will be a happening...

He ido ya 3 veces.

I had an absolutely fabulous relaxing stay at this hotel midweek. It’s a pre-opening and some reviews don’t seem to recognise that. It means is hotel development is still being completed – construction, system development, staff training, not all facilities are open and things are changing all the time. The lower price in a new hotel, beachfront with amazing surf view reflects this.

I was placed in a quiet room that has apartment facilities (hot plate, fridge, microwave, cooking and eating gear) Including balcony. Not many hotel rooms have that. Whenever I had a question (like slow lift as busy ) the staff immediately had a solution that worked fine.

The place is Very attractive, modern, spotlessly clean. Many areas for people to chill and is right on the beach with spacious pool.

The onsite restaurant is not open but the Beach club one Is only 5 minutes walk away and offers 3 choices for breakfast when included in the rate. Service was prompt and although my Spanish is limited, the staff were able to accommodate my allergies. I also had a yummy pizza the night before and didn’t feel the need to go anywhere else. There’s also a well-stocked smaller supermarket behind the hotel.

So I recommend it for a midweek R&R break because it worked for me. It ticked all the boxes and everything was good, despite it being a...
