As a coach and photographer, I was looking for a place where I could truly disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with myself and my work. This little hideaway in the middle of the jungle turned out to be exactly that – and so much more. Surrounded by lush greenery, with the sound of birds and the ocean in the background, it felt like living in a natural paradise. Within just ten minutes you can walk to a breathtaking Pacific beach, almost deserted, where I spent countless mornings walking barefoot along the shore, often with my camera in hand to capture the magic of this place.
The cabana itself is beautifully maintained, simple yet complete – with everything you need for a comfortable stay: kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, a terrace with a hammock to relax in. The pool deserves a special mention: large enough to swim and refresh, with a view over untouched nature and sunsets that I will never forget.
What made the experience even more special were Guido and Gisela, who are not only wonderful hosts but also genuinely warm people. They are always ready to help, while at the same time giving you complete privacy.
For me, this was a retreat for the soul – a place to breathe, to work with clarity, to take photographs, and to simply live in harmony with nature. If you are searching for peace, authenticity and true hospitality, this is the place. I left with a heart full of gratitude and would love to...
Read moreWithout sounding over-the-top…how does one give 5 stars when it deserves even more? My wife and I spent a month at Gisela and Guido’s marvelous hideaway. So much to say, so little space here to tell it. They have 3 locations to rent on their gorgeous property. We chose the “coach house” if you will. There are two smaller cabanas down their forested hill which are equally enchanting. Our house had everything we needed, just steps from their pristine pool and ocean view. There are several short jungle hikes from their spot to beaches that you cannot accurately describe without being there. Remember Gilligan’s Island? End-of-earth type experiences. Beautiful palm trees line the sand, cliffs, volcanic walking paths along the water and of course the ocean. I ran the beach, we walked it and I swam it dozens of times and barely a soul around if at all. Magnificent. Gisela and Guido help you with anything you need: Restaurant suggestions, boat or national park excursions. They even drove us to a remote location where they take their beloved dogs for a half day picnic on a beach where you swim a slow current river that pours into the sea. Stunning! We will be be back. We already miss them and their slice of...
