I stayed 2 nights at the centrally located Kimbe Bay hotel. The executive room at 132 USD was clean and spacious with king size bed, writing desk and chair, big digital TV screen, split type air-condition, and closet. The large bathroom had a separate shower compartment with warm water. What disturbed me were the traces of betel nut spit in the wash basin. The hotel operates a car rental too, we paid 360 USD/day for a Toyota hilux double cab. The Liamo Beach Resort which is not too far from the Kimbe Bay hotel might be a better alternative with its natural and quiet surroundings, located directly at the beach. Another alternative is Walindi Resort at 180 USD incl. buffet dinner approx. 15 minutes...
