We missed out on accommodation in Mt Hagen, everything was booked out because of the show. We were driving from Kundiawa and it's only 30 to 40 minutes from Mt Hagen. Banz is a great little town, the roads a bit rough but when isn't it in PNG.||There were 4 of us and we had a room each, double bed, TV, coffee, well appointed bathroom, very comfortable.||The restaurant and bar have a good menu and catered for vegetarians and carnivores.    Read moreWe spent two nights at JMR in October 2017 in a shared twin bedroom. It was clean, safe and very peaceful. The food was terrific and always more than you could eat at one sitting. The menu is great. The local produce is terrific. And the chefs, Simon and Bryce (from France) are excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful but the standout was the GM, Andrew.
