The resort is very well maintained, neat and clean. I loved how creative the owner decorated the place with lots of local wood carving on the walls and around make it very attractive and eye-catching. Also an interesting collection of crocodile and whale bones & skulls part of their display and some used as flower pot stand with some giant clam shells. There have different seating area to chill out; the bar, long table bench, lazy chair and covered al-fresco above the sea water. Their ala-carte breakfast menu is quite good and I liked the pancake like crepe with banana honey and baked beans with spices but I find the price is a little bit high for breaky. Their ala-carte lunch menu was ok, I liked their club sandwich (the bread is nicely toast and the filling is just nice). But hope to have a snack menu next time which good for coffee tea break or even with beer. Not to be missed is their buffet dinner menu which changes daily and they have a good spread of food, started with soup at 7pm and the rest served at 7:30pm (I like the concept which to fill up our tummy abit and give enough time for the cook to prepare the rest of the dishes so every dishes is served hot and we are not starving waiting for it). I have to say the food quality is as good as 5 stars hotel, not only it's fresh but also scrumptious and mouth-watering. I liked their Moroccan Sweet Potato Soup, Coconut Prawn Veges Curry, Thai fried Chicken Leg & Chilli Mud Crab. And for fruits lover like my son & myself, we both are very happy with their fruits platter; always have more than 6 types of fruits and is all from the locals not imported stuff which mean pure organic. Although I think is a little bit pricey but still happy of what I get. There have a small library at mezzanine floor which I think it could have done a little bit better with more comfortable seating, newer books selection and some magazine and also some board games will be nice. Now it look like a little storage space to me than an actual library. There do have a table tennis and box of blocks for the kids to play. Their staffs are very helpful, friendly and efficient too. Though the resort does not have hot shower but the staffs specially Edeline were very helpful to filled up hot water in a big thermos so I can use it to mix with tap water to bathe my son in the baby tub. There also prepared a baby cot for us for foc but we didn't use it. It is a very child friendly resort and good for family with kids. We stayed in a Deluxe Bungalow which have 3 queen size beds and a very spacious veranda. I can laze & rest on the hammock or just relax on the lounge chairs while my son play around with his toys. There is no aircond but is cooling with fans in the room & veranda. I stayed 4 nights here and never feel bored and even hope to stay longer. There is always something to do here besides going out for diving, surfing, fishing and island hoping. There is a village just behind the resort, we see many different flower plants, chicken running freely, birds chipping and flying everywhere and saw 2 piglet just before they ran into the bush. There's also a craft market here the locals selling handmade accessories made of shells and some wood carving (a little bit pricey to compare but good to support). My son enjoyed very much strolling around the resort, seeing different type of birds (able to pet koki & lucky the friendly parrot pets), fed the fishes from the shore, watched the ducks wacking their tail, played with the sands and dipped in the seawater. The water here are very clear and clean, good for a swim, snookel or just dip in and search for starfish and sea slug part of the free activities. Will be nice to see more toys or a little kids corner next time and maybe someone to keep an eye on the kids playing while the parent can have their meals. This will really make it a perfect resort to gateway during holiday or even short weekend trip for people who live in PNG.

This is the perfect getaway for a relaxing break from everyday life that can grind you down to a pulp. Great diving, fishing, and (surfing, seasonal Nov-April). Fay trips kayaking snorkelling, swimming freshwater underground limestone aqueducts, and World War 2 relics. Fantastic seafood and local cuisine offered daily as a buffet or just get a smoothie or order a la carte off the menu if you prefer. Local markets fresh tropical fruit and vegetables or if you prefer a whole mudcrab or painted crayfish then it's all too easy. Staff are very friendly and always up for laugh. 10 out of 10. 7 stars photos say it all.

Great Relaxed Resort. We stayed is a superb bungalow with a wonderful ocean view. We were there to rest and the large deck and powerful ceiling fans made this a breeze. Great for G&Ts. When we wanted a bit of activity we were able to tour the island self guided by foot, take free stand up paddle boards and Kayaks around the area. It not why we went but there is heaps of other outdoor activities to do from the resort (scuba, bicycling, snorkeling and multiway kayaking) as well.

Now what can I say, that hasn't been said before. Nusa is a very beautiful resort that feels like you just arrived in paradise. I had the luxury of staying in several rooms as I was in the neighborhood for work and the owners (Sean and Shannon) were very flexible in assuring I had a place to stay for the 2.5 weeks I was there. Of course, while the ocean front rooms are the nicest, the others are a bit more basic, but still very clean and a joy to stay at. Every room has a big chest to lock valuables in, which was very handy for me to assure all my work was kept safe. The eco bathrooms and toilets are clean and kept up well and although there is only cold water available, it never bothered me as at the end of the day, it was great to have a cool shower. The food and service are both excellent. Shannon, Eddy and the team who are taking care of the food have been keeping this up for a long time now. My wife and I were at Nusa almost 4 years ago and the same high standard is still being delivered upon. It's great to have a different buffet dinner every day and as I was there for a longer period, it's kind of amazing that it was possible for me to have something different each and every day... The pickup from Kavieng takes less than 3 minutes on the boat and as I needed to go back and forth quite regularly for work, this was perfectly arranged for me. All the people at Nusa work hard to make it the very best experience possible for their customers, but also seem to have a lot of fun themselves while doing it. Dorian and Jason who are arranging dives in the area are also a perfect match with the Nusa crew as they have the same positive and flexible attitudes. I only had half a day off during my stay, but they made it possible for me to do 2 dives in the morning on a Saturday. As the resort is doing so well, the owners have had help from Curt (who is a manager at the resort now) and his wife Lucy. Again, a perfect match with the rest of the team as they have a 'work hard, play hard, have fun' mentality that really hits the nail on the head when it comes to service. It's always good to play a game of Kubb and have a beer after a long day of work. So a big shout out to all the people there who made my stay a lovely one! Hope to be back again in the future! Thanks again Sean, Shannon, Curt,...

My recent 7 day holiday at NUSA was a truly magnificent experience. The well appointed rooms with comfortable long beds and superb verdandahs for watching the locals going about their daily activities or watching the sun set in the afternoons.

The main eating area was very rustic and possessed a relaxed tropical island feel. The various local artifacts crocodile heads and numerous carvings created a charming environment allowing you to sip your morning coffee or sample some super cold beers in the evening.

Shaun Luke Matt Kurt Daphne the Big A from behind the bar and the rest of the team really made me feel welcome with nothing being a drama.

The food is well presented fresh and delicious especially the seafood. Prawns mud crabs crayfish and reef fish. A gourmets delight.

The swimming and fishing activities are excellent as well as the more leisurely activities of reading or sleeping. Everyone is catered for.

All in all a ten out of ten experience in an absolutely MAGIC LOCATION. JUST DO. IT.

SINCERE THANKS TO SHAUN LUKE AND THE NUSA CREW. WONDERFUL...
