They charge a premium but do not provide proportionally. The rooms are quite small and need repainting. The chair was about to collapse and the lamp flickering. Half the staff is pleasant whereas the other half has a nasty attitude and is unpleasant and uncomfortable. ||||Breakfast is marginal at best. The location is a 10-15 minutes taxi ride from either el centro or Villa Morra area (excepting rush hour!). The room was very noisy from street traffic. The road in front seems to be the main bus road and goes up a steep hill, with the bus stop outside the hotel. ||||The director is rude and unpleasant. All were condescending and a bit creepy. If you're there on business for a couple nights, are old, and wearing a suit & tie then maybe you will get the simple respect ALL people deserve, much less anyone paying for one of the most expensive hotels in Asuncion. Also, I got sick after using the sauna (steam room). The water in the pipes was obviously old and bad, and also spits out dark brown water that floods the place... nasty! The breakfast was quite Spartan. ||||Overall, the location requires considerable taxi time to get anywhere, it's quite expensive, and the staff and rooms...
Read moreI stayed 3 nights at this very comfortable hotel in Asuncion. It is just a short taxi ride to the attractions in central Asuncion. The room was very comfortable with a very high standard. ||The hotel has a pool in the small quiet courtyard.||It is located on a side street and is therefore very quiet and you can sleep very good.||The staff is very very helpful. Tomas helped me through the whole process of getting an account at the local bus company and to book a ticket for my trip to Foz de iguazo. They also helped me to make a booking at the golf club. All that saved me a lot of time that I could spend looking at the city. It only seem to be one of the staff that speaks english.||There is also a number of different good restaurant within a few blocks. All from fast food to a nice parilla restaurant.||It felt like a relief to come back to the hotel in the afternoon after a hot day at the golf course or wandering around the city.||The breakfast was average and could improve.||If I would come back I would definitely choose this hotel. It is highly...
Read moreNowadays if you want to attract some attention you include the word "Boutique" on the name of your hotel. This is a well built house with small but nice garden and swimming pool. The room as you can see on my pics is not small, but not big either - I guess closer to the perfect necessary size. The bathroom would be very good if it wasn't for the fact that water leaks out of the shower - and after complaining with the lady on the front desk no one did anything about it. ||The place is very well located on a nice residential area of the not so pretty Asuncion - you could feel reasonably safe there. ||The Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment - they only brought some cheese after I asked for it - and even so only two slices of it! Ham? no way! You get some bread, jelly, coffee and fruits. Not what you expect from a BOUTIQUE hotel! ||Service for tourists has to improve a lot - they didn't even have ONE map to give away - I had to get one in another hotel. They did get a a nice transfer in and out...
