Hotel Iparoma — Hotel in Filadelfia

As a Canadian visiting Paraguay for the first time, I highly recommend spending a night at Estancia Iparoma and doing some wildlife touring with Marilyn. Marilyn is a wonderful host - she’s kind, knowledgeable, and has enough spunk and energy to share. She spotted a few things we would have missed if we were touring alone, and knows the land like the back of her hand. The rooms are basic but the A/C works well. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast with all the ingredients from the farm. Great hosts. Great farm. Peaceful setting. Wonderful food, some of the best dinners we have had in Paraguay. Pool was refreshing. The only downsides are the beds are a little hard, the water doesn't get very hot and it's about 20-30 minutes back into town. You need your own vehicle to get in and out. A nice place to spend a few days—5 for us. You can access it with a standard car; there's no need for a 4WD, but it would definitely be more comfortable and feel safer with one.
