KRISANT HOTEL — Hotel in Cajamarca

My wife, me and our two daughters ages 6 and 7 stayed at this property last week during our short visit to Cajamarca. We were delighted by the service and overall the attitude of the staff in helping anyway they could to make us feel at home and comfortable. What drove me to write this review was the feeling that the ladies at the counter and the kitchen as well as the owners were genuine. We came to Cajamarca from Chiclayo in a Bus Bed and arrived at 4 am. The owner picked us up and helped us with our luggage. The first day we took a little sight seen trip to down town but came back fast because the girls were too tired. So we spent the rest of the day in the common areas of the hotel watching tv and talking. In the evening the staff prepared sandwiches, fruit salad and even got us a wine bottle. We really had a good time. We noticed very few Americans/Europeans in Cajamarca. The description of the hotel on booking.com is not very accurate. The restaurant does not seem to exist, although they supplied very acceptable sandwiches when I was too tired to go out to eat. The 24 hour reception desk is a bell which someone may or may not answer quickly. The front door release is hidden under the desk. I just hoped I did not need to exit in a hurry. There is a 5% surcharge for paying by VISA, never mentioned until you come to pay. The free toiletries seemed to consist of soap.But the beds are comfortable and the water is usually hot (cold on 2 out of 11 days, and an alternative room in which to shower was offered). No coat...

Hotel cómodo con buenos precios y con una atención muy gentil de parte de la señorita y señora que atienden. Está un poco alejado del centro de Cajamarca pero nada que un taxi o mototaxi no solucionen a un bajo precio. Lo único que deben mejorar es que si aceptan familias con niños deben preveer mejores condiciones para los niños, como almohadas más pequeñas o desayuno con leche para los más pequeños, corrigen eso y serán un buen hotel no sólo para parejas o...
