I would not call this a 4 star hotel. When I arrived, they wouldn't let me in because my name was missing from their check-in list for whatever reason. I insisted I had a confirmation number and everything and my driver finally got us in. When I got to the reception desk they took a moment to find me and once they did, they informed me that my room was still not ready. How could the room not be ready until 2.5 hrs after checkin time? So as they had me waiting, there were two other girls that did not have a reservation and had to book a room on the spot, and they were taken to their room before me. I had a really long day and was feeling sick and just needed to get to my room to turn in early to be up at 4am for my flight so I complained that this was not fair. To remedy this situation they later offered me a complimentary meal and I could tell they felt bad about the situation. However, when I got to the room I was expecting better accommodations for a "4 star" hotel. The bed was two twin beds pushed together, and the bathroom was old and rickety. The closet wouldn't even close. It definitely felt more like a 3 star hotel given the room and...
Read moreI have stayed at Hotel Manish twice. First time for just 2 nights and second time for 2 months! I cannot say how blessed I was to spend such a long time in this beautiful hotel whilst being stuck in Peru due to the pandemic. The hospitality and friendship offered by the hotel manager Fidel, grounds worker Juan and the rest of the amazing staff has meant this special slice of jungle heaven will always be in my heart. The rooms are immaculate, grounds are kept in beautiful condition (the plants ooze with love and joy in the care of Fidel) and the staff are all amazing, kind people. I plan to return to Pucallpa often and I will continue to stay at Manish every visit, not only to see all the beautiful staff but to visit the tree I planted with love and gratitude in the grounds of the hotel. Thank you Manish for becoming my...
Read moreI have been coming to Pucallpa regularly for many years, even since before the pandemic. I always stay at Manish to recharge and have access to the best amenities in the city. I feel known and cared for by the staff, especially Victor and Darwin, both of whom have been here since before the pandemic. The hotel grounds are an oasis in Pucallpa- calm and beautiful. At other places it is sometimes difficult to sleep past 5 due to the sound of roosters, cars, and commotion- but here is it blissfully quiet. The bar and restaurant are great; I love the Caesar salad and pisco sours. The internet is strong and I can get work done. I could go on and on. Only thing I didn’t like this time was the memory foam pillows in my room. They are quite firm and I like something a little softer. Thanks for everything; I...
