Hotel de Turistas — Hotel in Camaná

we needed parking and arrived to late to go looking for an alternative... ||||parking is allright - though I never saw the parking guard, it seemed safe. ||The breakfast is really, really poor - especially considering the price (just dull bread, nescafe and juice). The size and cleanliness of rooms were okay, but the rooms were soooo cold. Also: wifi was a bit on-off, and there was only one English-speaking channel - so much for cable ! No English spoken in reception.||compared to the rest of Peru - and we´ve spend about 6 weeks here, mainly "midrange" - 200 soles a night is just way to expensive for...

I arrived early morning to be told that although my current guide book advertised a rate of 30 soles my room would cost 250 soles. As the only hotel in town I had no choice. I pointed this out to the hotel manager later in the day he reduced the rate to 180 soles. He had no need to do this. He was a very decent, helpful and honourable man. My stay was spoiled by the large number of excited children touring the corridors and consuming the pool. The only real downside other than the screaming of the children was the loud music from the pool which made the otherwise excellent dining...

I slept one night in that hotel while travelling from Chile to Perú. This is the first decent place I could find when reaching Camana in the evening. I had askedthe local police for recommendation and went ther, large covered parking area, large building recessed from the street. The rooms are large, very antique and not well maintained but for one night it was fine. the breakfast was very lean, so I went to have another bite in the town center.
