Accomodation is in separate 2 unit bungalows, each with an outside covered patio overlooking the city surrounded by lush vegetation. Comfortable clean rooms with hot solar heated water for shower. (Only cold water at bathroom sink though). Beds firm, linen and towels clean and toiletries supplied. The property is reached by a hard based track to a central building housing reception , with a covered outdoor dining area next to the open kitchen. The menu is varied and the staff do their utmost to meet demands. The staff are very welcoming though only Spanish is spoken. There is a pool at a separate level with a lounging area surrounded by vegetation. Lots of spaces to park near the main central building. The peace and tranquility at Fundo San Jose are complemented by the welcoming environment created by friendly and capable staff and management. Relaxing on the porch of my bungalow, I felt more like I was at home in paradise than at a hotel. Options are plentiful . . . Revel in the glorious views, remain on the property resting and rejuvenating, bask in the pool, walk on the well-marked trails and learn about local flora and fauna, enjoy delicious food in the restaurant or with room service . . . or venture out and explore La Merced, San Ramon, Oxapampa, and the many locales and attractions surrounding the centrally located Hotel Fundo San Jose Ecolodge. Staff at the lodge helped arrange tours and guides for my visit that were perfect for my interests and in line with my budget....

Una experiencia inolvidable, un lugar mágico, lleno de naturaleza, personal muy agradable, amable y atento; comida deliciosa, piscina pequeña pero relajante y muy bonita, habitaciones impecables, modernas, ordenadas, sencillas pero perfectamente ambientadas y cómodas, como para sentirse en casa. El fundo es un lugar perfecto para desconectarse de tu vida ocupada en la ciudad, es una excusa perfecta para recolectar con la tierra, la naturaleza y los animales; es una experiencia que la recomendaría y si o si tiene que hacerse en familia o con un grupo grande de amigos, los cuartos son de 6 personas aproximadamente cada uno sin contar claro los matrimoniales. En el fundo te levantas con el sonido de los animales y la naturaleza, para mi era difícil creer lo que veía desde el looby y mi habitación, QUE VISTAS DIOS, unas vistas de película y de cuentos, verde, verde y más verde por todos lados, pajarillos volando y cantando por ahí, hermoso mi amanecer en este lugar, HERMOSO. Datos importantes: 1.sin repelente TE VUELVES LOCO, recuerda que es casi la selva y si hay insectos volando constantemente, no es molesto siempre pero puede serlo si es que no cargas con tu lindo repelente. Hay rutas de caminatas por todo el lodge, hay distintos niveles y por cada nivel hay más complejidad y claro alguno que otro se convierte en reto, la ruta 4 que es la más larga la hice yo, no la recomiendo para niños menores de 12 años y para ninguna persona que le tenga miedo a los insectos, llevar pantalón largo y si puedes camisa larga, lentes de sol y un gorrita, es un tramo algo largo y con muchas pendientes que si no estas atento y con los zapatillas adecuadas te deslizaras y caerás muy constantemente, recuerda que es full naturaleza no hay puentecitos para que camines ni nada es caminar en selva por un camino un poco accidentado. Te recomiendo aprovechar el desayuno de las mañanas, delicioso, sencillo y sobre todo saludable, tienes huevos revueltos, jugos y fruta, todo cultivado en el mismo fundo, créeme que para esos tours necesitarás de un muy...
