Pros: held our gear for us whilst we were hiking the ausangate, before we had even stayed there. Responded promptly when we were trying to organise to have our stuff kept there hot shower ( once we had asked how to use it) nicely decorated with lots of plants and cute rooms clean host walked us to the highway to show us where to catch the collectivo the hosts son was nice and provided help when asked -Cute cats with blue eyes
Cons: We felt like nags because we had to ask for everything: We werent originally given any towels, when breakfast came we weren't given any plates, we asked to do laundry but they said we had to do it by hand when there were 3 washing machines (we saw one of them operating). they said they would come at 2pm to settle us in and we're thirty minutes late service was generally quite cold and unwelcoming. We felt as though we were imposing. maintenance was occurring whilst we were there and they were drilling into our walls for about an hour at 7:00 p.m. when we had already gone to our room. breakfast was 10 soles each which I think was a lot for what we got when compared to other hostels and hotels (stale bread, some eggs, jam and coffee) the host just generally not interested in...
Read moreVery lovely place with lots of plants in the patio. The bedroom was basic and in August rather cold but clean. Marisol and Denis looked very well after us. They organized a taxi for us that took us to Palccoyo on one day and to Vinicunca the other (thanks Rolando). We paid 150 Soles per day for the two of us. Breakfast including scrambled eggs, bread, jam, butter, cheese, coffee and tea was nice. The bathroom was separated from the bedroom and had a toilet and a shower (we could not make the hot water work even though there was a heater, so you should check this out together with the host before going for a shower). There were two lavabos in the patio for brushing teeth and washing hands (including soap), very convenient. We could leave our backpacks after check-out...
Ciro non so...
