Great food, great service and great beach. I'm taking 1 star off because the music is horrifyingly loud with speakers placed every 2m or so. We asked them to turn it down. The bat tender obliged, only to be overridden by someone else less than a minute after. Non-stop Reggaeton competing with the roar of the surf. And I'm removing another star for a wobbly fan that sounded like a tortured toad. Wasn't fixed the whole week, despite multiple requests. The leaky toilet got addressed, but the leak returned the following night. To avoid the din, we made use of the ample patios of the bungalows. And they have reserved lounge chairs on the beach in front of the bungalows as well. Huge, seafood-centric menu, although they have the standard club/burger/steak/veg as well. In a week's meals, I never ate the same thing twice. All was good. The surf is pretty, and steady. And pretty loud. Keep that in mind, if you're a light sleeper and want a beach side bungalow. But in any case, ask for a room as far away from the pool as possible.

We stayed for the weekend and we couldn’t have picked a better hotel. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful (Carlos at the main restaurant was the best). The pools are great and never overcrowded. Same with the access to the beach. The breakfast buffet was really good too and I would say the food for lunch/dinner are defo worth it since it’s so good. Lastly, the reason for the trip was a birthday and they delivered a delicious cake as a courtesy for the birthday. Very thoughtful Will defo be our first option if we come back again to Tumbes (Punta Sal)

Very relaxing, food and drinks were very good, the staff were always friendly and helpful, every effort to make our stay comfortable was made, we were able to arrange trips to other local attractions at a very reasonable rate. If you are looking to get away and relax this is an ideal spot. The waves, the sun, the birds, the crabs, schools of fish in the ocean... It was lovely.

Disappointing All-Inclusive Experience – Overcharges, Poor Service, and Unreliable Amenities

Review:

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately encountered several issues that future guests should be aware of: • Unexpected overcharge: I was charged an extra USD 95 at reservation—even though the staff had the correct quote days before our arrival. We provided all required documentation for a refund, yet never received the money back. • Difficulty accessing drinking water: Only two 250 ml complimentary bottles were provided on the first day for two people and were never refilled. While water was available at breakfast, none was offered during lunch or dinner. Whenever we requested water, we had to repeatedly ask multiple servers and waited up to 20 minutes each time. • Limited food availability outside main meal times: Requests for snacks or food outside breakfast, lunch, or dinner were often delayed—sometimes over 30 minutes—and frequently ended with the staff telling us the item was no longer available. • Inconsistent drink portions: All-inclusive beverages had wildly varying alcohol amounts—sometimes overly strong, often watered down. • Room service denied: Requests for room service were refused, with staff stating they were “too busy” to assist. • Unresponsive WhatsApp contact: We tried to schedule activities via the WhatsApp number provided, but received no human response—only a chatbot with no real booking capability. • Shuttle to the airport was a hassle: No fixed pickup time was given, so we waited in the lobby for 40 minutes and the shuttle ended up departing late. • Positive note: The facilities themselves were well-maintained and in good condition.

Overall, the property is physically appealing, but the unexpected charges, unreliable services, and poor communication overshadowed the stay. I hope management addresses these issues promptly—for both operational efficiency and guest...

I really liked this place. I think it has more things to do than Decameron, but it is not all inclusive. The service is great, they can take your food to your room if you want or to your spot at the beach. Most of the waiters know what to offer, they can recommend some things to try, but I met a few that were the opposite, bad attention or they didn't even know the menu. You can find a small gym here, but it has the basic to have a full routine: a rack with an Olympic bar, a complete machine to work out every muscle, and the regular cardio machines (treadmill, cycling, etc.). You also have courts of tennis and frontón, but the balls they have are not inflated. They also have a pool table, ping pong, Foosball, a nice pool (which is small compared to Decameron). They are pet friendly but you have to pay a fee for that. The food is amazing, but it's quite expensive and the quantity is ok. Only breakfast is included, which is all you can eat, so that is a plus. Overall I totally recommend it, if you want a place to chill and spend it with family or your partner, this is the place. If you want to party or want to go with friends and have fun, probably Decameron would be a...
