Let's start from the outside in.... the place itself is away from the road, meaning no noise from civilization and will be in peace, fresh air. First sight is a wow moment, place is very decent and is very welcoming. Service and the people who work there are all A++ and couldn't ask for better service. The reasonI'm giving a 3 star is because of the hotel itself, as you can see in the photos the umbrellas are all dusty, look bad, there are bird dropping in every step take, mosquitos are unavoidable once the sun goes down. When it comes to the rooms they are in fact very spacious and beds are comfortable, but don't expect.room service to change the sheets, they will replace the shampoo only, AC was not working and was sent to another room after I have unpacked. Both rooms had a leak on the shower that will go all the way to rooms, spiders inside the rooms and the water preserve on the shower was bad. Shower handles rusted and gooey. Outside the rooms the light fixtures look rusted out and not very appealing, breakfast was a choice of 2 things only and the boiling water both days where dirty and also the sugar had ants on it. Pool water not crystal clear and in the entrance of the hotel there is a NO DOGS ALLOW, however 2 dogs where roaming around and 1 even pee on a chair behind us as we ate lunch. The owner hkmself did apologies but it was still a bad experience, the dog kept coming back begging for food. Food price seems high but no complains on that, drinks good and what ever I wanted the people there would do anything to please you. There offered karaoke but it didn't work, they spent about 30 minutes trying to fix it until I told them...

The place is brand new, and the reasons I’m only giving 4 stars are all startup issues that were all fed back to management and I’m sure they should be taken care of by now. |Gracia the manager was accommodating in so many ways, from setting up our tours to the local mangroves one day and the mud baths another and the beach on another, to doing her best to get us across the closed land border to Ecuador. (We ended up having to fly back to Lima to get to our next destination Guayaquil). Maybe our being their first transcontinental visitors helped but they treated us like family!|The hotel is only a couple miles from the airport and is located on the property of the largest shrimp farm in South America. On the property are roving peacocks and feral horses which add a certain beauty to the manicured grounds. Birdwatchers bring your binoculars to zoom in on the wide variety of seabirds flying over the shrimp farms. |The rooms are larger than most folks require, and everything is clean and new. The restaurant specializes in local seafood (e.g. the delicious conchas negras) and the town of Tumbes is a short drive away for just about anything else. |Can’t forget to mention that Daniel and Carlos were also particularly accommodating throughout our...
