Nice modernish box on the eastern corner of the Plaza de Armas. It's next door to a couple of chicken restaurants that are okay and not noisy. The hotel was decorated in the fifties style, I would say, without the irony. It has no wifi or any other facilities that make one coo. The place is secure as one has to go through a glass door and up a flight of stairs to reception. The rooms were fairly small but mine - 104 if you're taking notes - was very pleasant, with a nice view over the Plaza, a comfy bed, a TV that worked and a shower that provided hot water on demand 'nearly' every time I wanted it to. It's easy to get to and away from - three soles from the bus station. It costs 100 soles a night for a double, 70-80 for singles.
