DONT BE OUT OFF BY THE SMALL NUMBER OF REVIEWS. THE PROPERTY ONLY RECENTLY OPENED. IT’S TERRIFIC, IF BEING OUT IN THE COUNTRYSIDE, WITH ALL THE MODERN CONVENIENCES IS WHAT YOU ENJOY.
It is only several months old, beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. Being modern has all the convenience you would need such as convenient, electrical outlets, good plumbing, etc.
The best part was the setting. It’s not right in the town, in fact, it’s a little bit difficult to get to, but it’s very tranquil, located in a quiet rural setting. In fact, the owners have a small farm adjacent to the hotel property, and several alpaca that roam the property, one of which is like a friendly dog that loves to approach and nuzzle humans.
The owners are on site; a lovely couple, and they treat you like a member of the family. The other staff is also extremely helpful, respectful and friendly.
We only took breakfast at the hotel, that food was terrific. They do serve other meals, and judging from the look of the dining area and the dining area, I’d expect the catering to be excellent.
The nearest large town is Urubamba, but the hotel is not in the built up part of that town. I think it was about a 20 minute taxi ride on a dark rainy night, to get to the place.
The nearest small (very small) town is Huayllabamba. This is about a 15 minute walk away. We really enjoyed going there and seeing how the people live. I doubt that they get many tourists. There was no sign of tourism infrastructure.
We just went there out of curiosity, but found we could take a local shuttle van to Urubamba for S/ 1.5 (around USD 0.40 as I write this), and the trip took 20-30 minutes. It was super fun riding with and talking to the local people. Everyone we have met is super friendly. In the small town, few spoke English, but everyone is quick to converse using google translate.
All in all, we are very glad that we chose to stay here, and...

Read moreWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sierra Sacred Valley. The property is beautifully designed and spotlessly clean, offering a secluded and tranquil escape in a quiet rural setting. One of the highlights was the alpacas that roam freely on the property—a truly unique and delightful experience. The owners are incredibly hospitable, kind, and helpful. Luis, one of the owners, even guided us on a breathtaking hike up a nearby mountain. Once we reached the top, we were rewarded with the most stunning, panoramic views imaginable. It was an unforgettable experience. The food here is delicious, and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. This is the perfect place to unwind and relax while still being close enough to explore incredible nearby sites like the Pisac ruins, Moray ruins, Maras Salt Mines, and Museo Inkariy. If you're looking for peace, natural beauty, and warm hospitality, Sierra Sacred Valley is the perfect destination. We can't...
