Belle Sand — Hotel in Ica

We selected this hotel based on price and reviews. We knew when we booked this the hotel was in a very quiet area I did not realize just how far out it was.||The check in process was very odd nothing was explained to us at all we had our fingerprints taken and copies of our passports and handed the room key. That was it.||Once in the room we realized how basic it was, no air con, no fridge all the paperwork we received was advising is we could not drink in our room only at the bar or restaurants||The bar was non existent and I saw a cat walk into the restaurant.||We walked into town to find some food ( a 5k walk ) ||The next day we attempt to use the pool, no luck there was a ballet concert so it was not really appropriate.||This hotel was a let down, the room was a bit dated holes in the sheets and no real water pressure, to get the hot water on you need to turn on the basin taps on stand on one foot and hope for the best.||We stayed here three nights our room was only cleaned once, I couldn't be bothered asking for it to be cleaned on the Sunday as the front counter staff although friendly did not seem so approachable, this could be me not speaking Spanish. But when I asked for a map so I knew where I was and the response was no it was all a bit to hard.||Our room came with breakfast, we did not know this as we were never told, it did say this in our reservation but as we much have missed it, this was also never told to us on check in or throughout our stay. After seeing the cat enter the kitchen I don't mind I missed out.||Overall if you want to lock yourself in a hot room with no air con it's a great hotel.||If you want a hotel with a little atmosphere I would not...

Hotel Belle Sand is not located in the centre of Ica, it is a bit out of town, but that is what we needed to relaxe in our vacations. We had our room with view to the swimming pool, it was very nice and clean. It is a small hotel, but we felt that we were in good hands! The family who runs this hotel is very nice, we also organized a tour with Belle Sands to go to see the Nasca geoglyphs, the Islas Ballestras and the Huacachina Oasis and were very pleased with the service! We stayed in Ica for three days and couldn't be happier with my hotel choice. It's located in a very safe neighbour (although we had to took a cab to do anything we wanted), a residential one. The rooms are wide and very clean. Big toilet and shower. The bed is comfortable, there's cable and free wi-fi. Breakfast is simple, but very very good.
