Hostal Geminis — Hotel in Ica

The hostel is pretty basic - the rooms are clean, have nice beds and private bathroom with shower (at least ours had) and is decently priced. The included breakfast was allright. The wifi is very good.||The owner of the hostel is one of the nicest persons I've met in Peru. Though we didn't really speak Spanish and he didn't speak English, he was so helpful with getting taxis for us and ensuring the driver gave us the local price - never more than 5 soles - and he gave us a lot of tips for Ica and Huacachina.||Two days after leaving, I found out I forgot my running shoes at this hostel. I love those shoes and they are pretty expensive - though going back to Ica was no option, we were in Cuzco and were leaving Peru in a week. I sent the hostel owner an email explaining the situation, and he then went through all this effort to send me the shoes via a tour bus company - I ended up paying only 14 soles and a couple of days later I had my shoes again in the exact same condition I left them! ||I would really recommend this little...

We stayed here Sep 2016 for 2 nights as we was travelling through Peru. Very clean, tidy & secure. The couple that run it are so sweet. They would always come outside & get us a taxi Into the plaza & make sure to tell the driver we would only be paying 5 soles. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. On our last day we had to go to the bus terminal & the owner offered to take us which we thought was very kind. A lovely place to stay on the outskirts of ica. 5 min drive to the plaza. This hotel is a bit outside the city center, but there are alot of transportation passing at front of the Hotel at every hours of the day. The center is easily reachable by collectivo (1.4soles) or taxi (5-7soles). Everytime we go out, the owner or his wife deals the taxi or the collectivo for us. They also gave us many information about the different tours offered in the area and how we should pay.||We had the last room at the back, it was quiet.
