My partner and I were very excited to stay here because the lodge looked incredibly beautiful and was close to Churup lake hike that we wanted to do. The lodge also advertised assist with transportation to the hike and a full restaurant. This sold us because the lodge was 45 minutes from town where we would be able to access food.
We arrived around 7 pm after a full day of hiking and the lodge did not have our reservation. Not only that but there was not even and employee there. Luckily other people staying there were able to contact staff, otherwise we would have been in the middle of no where with no way to call a taxi. Once staff arrived they said that they "didn't see" our reservation, even though we had email confirmation. Additionally they told us that the lodge is an air BNB only with no food.
It was difficult to get a taxi that would drive 45 minutes up the mountain with a fair price and also no one knew where it was. They also did not have any sort of arrangement for the hike but said we can walk from the lodge which adds several extra hours.
Luckily there was an incredibly friendly group vacationing from Lima that gave us some food and tea and another person that offered to drive to town to get us food.
The lodge IS incredibly beautiful and in a beautiful location however please know that it is difficult to access and they do not provide any food so you will be self sufficient while there.
I am posting this because even after I emailed them to let them know their website was not updated they did not update their website and it still inaccurately says they have a restaurant. I don't want anyone to be stuck up there unprepared with the same expectations we had due to the misleading website.
We did have a good time due to the very nice people staying there but had to cancel our second night because it was inconvenient to go 45 min town. The people working were friendly and apologetic but did not have an explanation for the false information on the website and also did not give us a discount for the night we did stay because of...

Stephan and his team of local help has clearly worked hard to create an inviting experience. Not only are the accommodations comfortable and modern, but the friendliness of everyone was top notch. We were glad we did because the Argentina trained chef prepared amazing dishes we knew were going to taste great and more importantly be safe to eat. The morning routine of coffee plus a coca tea helped us adjust to the altitude. We had enough food leftover for a small lunch (our appetites were suppressed due to the altitude). Dinner was different every day - which lead us to looking forward to what new dish surprise we would find at the end of our hikes. From fresh stream trout with native potato fries to oso buco, and some of the best soups I've ever had (I had the best tomato soup of my life here). Plus the water was sourced from their ground well and very safe to drink - tasted great as well! Oh, and farm fresh milk and local honey - seriously so good!||Stephan always had appropriate recommendations for the next days activities. We enjoyed the nearby trails and recommended routes he had for sights we wanted to venture out on. We truly felt we could stay here for weeks. It felt so good being up in the fresh mountain air!
