Bungalows Killa Wasi en Cieneguilla - pet friendly — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

You are probably reading this review because this place has received a number of good reviews. Beware those reviews which appear to uniformly say things like "Quiet Place", "Secluded and peaceful". Balderdash. Be aware that the guest rooms are as little as 50 feet from the main road which runs along the edge of the property. Despite it being both a weekend, and a holiday, during our stay buses, trucks, cars and taxis trundled along this road late into the night and very early in the morning making our stay akin to that in a 24 hour truck stop. While we had hoped to stay for days, we left after one POOR night of sleep.||||In addition, advertised as "bungalows" these are actually clusters of rooms spread over two two story houses. They are not individual bungalows at all. If the rooms above or beside your are inhabited, you will be all too aware of their coming, going, etc.||||otherwise, this is a small property with a nice garden and a very small pool at the back. While one can use the word rustic, it might be more correct to say run down.||||Pretty clearly there are quieter and nicer places in Cieneguilla so the reviews here are misleading and/or uninformed. And the price is not cheap by Peruvian standards--ie., equal to a nice hotel in Lima!||||For international travelers, be aware as well that while Cieneguilla may be somewhat sunnier and warmer than Lima at some times of the year, this is no garden spot. Nicely built, with nice land scaping, but not even a 2 star hotel, maybe one. Extremely expensive for what you get. Inside the room you have a low quality full bed with low quality pillows. There's no shampoo or soap in the bathroom! The shower has no pressure and you couldn't say the water really warms... Not even water bottles in the room. It's a shame, the place...

We loved our stay here! This is a tiny lodge that feels like your own place. It's lush gardens and rustic bungalows are perfect and cozy. I suggested a fresh coat of paint in the bungalows other than that it's perfect. Waking up to amazing views of the majestic Andes and the beautiful plants it's quite a treat!
