Mama Backpackers Hostel — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

Seldom do I give 5 star ratings but Mama's earns it. strong security coded doorway, clean rooms and bathrooms with bathrooms just outside rooms. Rooms are a bit compact. If you get 4 bunk room but each with privacy curtain and private light. There is plenty of other open spaces including roof top open court. If you pack light there is a bus from the airport to the hostel. If you need a taxi mama's brother can pick you up with pre planning. Mama had a prepaid city bus card to get me to the transit station easily to then go exploring. She insisted on going with me to assist in Spanish when asking the time for latest bus time to airport. She got up at 3:00 and insisted on going with me to verify the Uber taxi was the correct one. breakfast is served 8-10 but if you have to check out earlier there's a sign to let them know so they can try to serve you earlier. From when I made the booking, Mama was very communicative, reaching out to me for information and responding quickly to all my emails. She provided very helpful information regarding taxis, directions etc.||||On arrival Mama was awaiting my arrival, check in was super quick and she personally saw to it I had everything I needed. The bathroom had provisions and was very clean and spacious, the dorm rooms again very clean and had everything you needed eg. Bag lockers, personal light and charge point, privacy curtains and hooks as well as free wifi. ||||I stayed in a dorm and I liked that these were smaller, only 4 beds to a dorm which suited me.||||She even arranged to cook breakfast for whatever time I wanted before returning to the airport. We booked Mama's place on the night before we ended our journey through Peru mainly because it was close to the airport. We really liked the stay, the place is great, everything is super clean and they really do understand what is hosting and not only accommodate people. Very comfy rooms and they let us enjoy the common area and bathrooms after check out while we waited for our late night flight. You can definitely feel the warmth the whole place emanates. Cats are a plus of course. The area, despite not super central has everything around, might be less practical if you want to visit the touristy part of the city but do not hesitate to book, I know...
