The beach is near, but the hotel did not have the view of the wave of Lobitos (front to Generales). The information that is in front of the hostel does not match what you have access: Laundry could not use (water issues), restaurant does not exist, Internet only works with this owner and had to always ask to restart (looks like off when out). Cleaning is not constant, so if you plan to stay more than a week staying. Kitchen was dirty, even the dishes. Though very well attended and offered up before going some transfers, I could not tell when needed (like Talara-Lobitos). I repaired the flushing the toilet of the bathroom wearing, took care of two dogs and a cat during the 14-day stay. In the absence of the owner, the responsible manager appeared more receptive, attentive and friendly the owner (it lacks a more entrepreneurial vision and treatment with customers). I paid the agreed amount. I was surprised with a message "ya no eres bienvenido en este lugar" owner for has preached a poster in the housing (it was a reggae group of friends of the same and is not the first poster nailed to the wall - had other) and a drawing left in a raw wood in the bedroom climb (there are design and paintings by the hostel, possibly friends, best friends). I was wrong to leave a recuerdo and find it had been well received. Set very well prices and ask to see the photos of the room that will be (getting there everything can change) and if you are traveling with little money do not let it be perceived. Scrolls to bullying in calls to follow surf trips. The owner who was a friend of Facebook before the trip, broke friendship after it. Although nice, the hostel could be...
Read moreLapa Lapa is in a great location, as are most hostels though, just a couple meters away from the beach. The four bed dorm we were staying in was super spacious, clean and comfortable with a very nice bathroom attached. From our balcony we could even see the ocean.||The first night in Lobitos we were staying at a different hostel, however there was no proper kitchen for us to use, so we set out to find a hostel with a kitchen. You'd think that would be an easy task, not in Lobitos though. None of the other hostels had a kitchen for guests to use, except for Lapa Lapa. And a big well equipped kitchen that is. When more people arrived in the hostel a couple days later Roberto, the owner, even got a second fridge ready so there was enough space for all of us.||The property is quite large and very cosy, with two friendly dogs and a cute kitten to keep you entertained.||Roberto is a very easy going guy and a keen surfer too.||I'll definitely come back to Lapa Lapa the next time I'm in Peru. Hopefully soon!||Thanks for the great time at your...
Read moreLapa Lapa is the place to stay in Lobitos. The owner Roberto offers pick ups from the bus station in Talara, will ensure you learn where the surf breaks are in Lobitos, and your gear is safe inside his bungalow complex. ||||The rooms are clean, the upstairs private rooms are fantastic and with views to the ocean. ||||The kitchen downstairs is the place to cook up a great feed after a surf, and hang out with Roberto and the other guests. ||||There is hot water, a great outdoor deck for afternoon beers and enough space to lay a yoga mat, and the outdoor BBQ area and firepit is well celebrated. ||||Roberto even has a board rack for guests to store their boards for easy access, and often goes into Talara so you're more than welcome to jump in with him on a trip to the supermarket to stock up - there are limited restaurants in Lobitos. ||||The best thing about Lapa Lapa is you're literally 30seconds walk to the beach, and the main break of Lobitos. ||||Great for friends, families, solo travellers or couples - you can't go wrong...
