This is the most beautiful guest house at the base of Huascaran mountain. ||Room: our room was big and had a huge window looking out to the magnificent Huascaran mountain. ||Food: every meal was delicious. Dinners were three courses and all made with fresh ingredients from the garden. Lunch was a fabulous soup and tea with garden herbs. Breakfast was yummy fluffy eggs, bread, freshly made fig jam, good coffee and again, fresh pots of tea. ||Location: you are tucked away at the base of the mountain. Perfect to relax and unwind after hiking. It's easy to start a trek up to the Huascaran Refugio. ||Wifi is available and speed was fine for checking emails.||The family are the sweetest and most helpful people. Their 18month old daughter is divine and will blow you kisses. There were two friendly kittens and a loveable dog. ||On a personal note, I can't thank the family enough for looking after me. I arrived very ill but left so much better. I wish I could have stayed for longer....

Casita de mi Abeula has a glorious view of one of (maybe the) tallest mountain in the Andes. Every aspect of your stay has been thoroughly curated by the sweet couple from Cusco who own the property. Peruvian decor and color abounds within each of the property's rooms and buildings, with a beautifully landscaped and colorful garden surrounding the buildings. We felt most welcomed in our mountain hideout that kept us well rested and cozy in between intense Andean hikes. The owners cooked delicious breakfasts and dinners for us each day and allowed us to hang out communally in the central building with a television and seating while they prepared our meals. Overall a magical, hidden place we all three...

Great location at the feet of the impressive Huascaran mountain. 1.5 soles for a moto taxi from Mancos. The food is good and the meal are rather big. Especially the soups that comes as a starter for dinner. The rooms are really and they would clean it when you want . Hot water. The garden is cute, with sheeps coming for their daily dose of grass. And nice patches of flowers. But the greatest thing is the service. Makes you feel like home. Especially from la Abuela. So rich of giving advices for our hikes and plans. We would go their again if we have...
