Memorable Sacred Experience — Hotel in Maras

A diamond in the rock. We went with our 3 children (8,6,1.5) to rest after mountain trekking and maccu piccu. We had the greatest time. The room with the view on the Andean mountains was amazing and very comfortable for a family of 5. We were the only ones in the hotel as it is fairly new and not yet well known. We stayed 2 nights and had all meals on site. The chef was great and we had our most delicious meals there while in peru. Breakfast was served to us in a table arranged in our private yard. The place has 2 baby alpacas on site with which the kids could play. They offer a bonfire with s'mores which was a great experience under the stars for the whole family. We wanted to do a short trek in the mountain around the hotel and they arranged for one staff member to be our guide and prepared fruits and water for us. The staff was above and beyond to make our stay the most wonderful experience. They had a solution for all our needs and were always looking for ways to make the children happy. Our kids have great memories from this stay that will last them a lifetime. This is a gem that needs to be discovered...

I can't recommend this enchanting place enough! We were traveling with our two small children, ages 3 and 5 so we stayed in the family dome. The views are breathtaking, the plunge pool perfect, the beds soft, and the food outstanding! The staff were so friendly. We especially appreciated the maintenance man, Cero, who brought the alpacas and guanaco up to our yard so they could interact with the kids for a long time. It made for the perfect afternoon. He also made a delightful fire in the evening and our family relaxed on blanket with throw pillows under the stars. Robert made sure that we were well taken care of and arranged our transportation. Absolutely loved this place! The view is stunning, overlooking the town of Urubamba, surrounded by beautiful mountains. It's such a quiet, peaceful area. The rooms are neat, clean, and have amazing views. Very comfortable! They have horses, vicuna, and alpacas that just roam around the grounds! Food was great and this is coming from a vegetarian! And the staff is top notch! Everyone was very helpful and kind. Shoutout to Roberto, Sero, and Diego! I initially booked it for one night and the beginning of our trip and loved it so much that we switched other reservations to come back here for our last two nights in Peru.
