We spent our last night in Peru at Inti Mar after almost four weeks of touring, including a few days in Bolivia. After almost a month of travelling around these beautiful countries this was the perfect place to unwind and put our feet up. We spent most of the day looking out to sea, watching various seabirds catching fish, and walking on the beach and along the cliffs. The hotel is linked to the scallop farm, so the food was unsurprisingly based around scallops and was superb. Lunch was scallops with spaghetti and parmesan whilst dinner was scallop and shrimp pizza with some fresh fish to start. When the pizza combination was first suggested I was hesitant, but the meal was exquisite.||I should point out that the accommodation is basic but has everything that you need and there is no electricity or hot water during the day, so if you are looking to be pampered this is maybe not the place for you. The location is also isolated, so if you're after some nightlife then you should look elsewhere. What an amazing place !

Imagine waking up with a view on a little island with pelicans and sea lions. Some dolphins passing by and the sound of the wave colliding with a boat fishing for Pejerrey. If you are going to stay in Paracas, take the time to travel a 15 minutes into the Reserva Nacional de Paracas to follow the coastline until you see a humble sign saying “Inti-Mar", barely reflecting the paradise that it announces.

This seashell farm (Conchas de Abanico) has been adapted to host guests on site. Not on large scale and everything with the greatest respect for the environment and the rustic style of the farm. It is runned by the extremely hospital and thoughtful Luis and his wife Rita. They will gladly tell you everything about the farm, the fauna, the recommended tours to explore the area and even organise a kayak trip or some snorkeling to catch seashell of your own.

After that, spend a moment on the private beach, just to enjoy a Ceviche of Pejerrey that was just fished out of the water that...

An amazing place to have a quiet weekend cut-off from the world. The establishment is not luxurious but that’s the point. You come for the views, and the peace. We stayed 2 nights in the Intimar room which has panoramic views over the bay. I am vegan and they were able to accommodate me very well and were very eager to provide me with options. The owners are lovely and make sure to have a chat with all the guests every morning over breakfast. This is very special. From there you can go to paracas to do a boat tour or go explore the natura reserve. We had an amazing time.

El enclave es de los más lindos de Paracas para almorzar frente al mar y con posibilidad de bañarse antes o después de comer. También puedes alojarte en sus instalaciones. La comida dista mucho de ser buena, bueno y rico solo he probado las conchas abanico a la brasa. la causa de pulpa de cangrejo está decente, el arroz no es malo ni rico, un arroz mediocre, el chicharrón tiene un rebozado que debería estar prohibido y es una ofensa a los mariscos (solo hace falta ver la foto) y el tiradito de erizo es lo más grotesco y ofensivo que se puede hacer a un producto como el coral del erizo. Quien puede pensar que bañar el erizo en salsa mayonesa y ají es una buena idea? En mi opinión si quieren disfrutar del lugar pidan una cerveza, unas conchas y una causa para picar. A veces los restaurantes que tienen un lindo entorno se olvidan de lo principal, la comida, aquí también decidieron destruir los productos. Es una lástima. El buen servicio y atención de los camareros no consiguen que el comensal olvide los desaciertos del cocinero.
