Stayed 2 nights to see the sights of Chiclayo. |PROS|Comfortable beds and room. |Nice atmosphere|Pool (although we didn't use it as we went out in the day) |Friendly staff. |Good breakfast with pot of tea||CONS|Immediate area around hotel not great. |Water not hot, only Luke warm with a brief burst of heat. |Bath was not clean. |Restaurant not open. |We arrived late evening after a long day of travel. I chose the hotel because it had a restaurant but on arrival we were told it was not open for dinner. Very disappointing. Our only option was to go down the rough road to a greasy fast food chicken place. |The second night the owner kindly offered to cook us dinner, however, we found that when we checked out that three meals of fish, rice and vegetables and a pot of tea came to 83 soles!! This was by far the most expensive meal we have had so far in Peru. And that includes other meals with alcohol. |This was a shame. |Location is on the outskirts of town so not having an open restaurant does not help the comfort...
Read moreThe Posada is the perfect oasis and destination when in the Chiclayo area. John and Rossy are warm, hospitable and ensured that we had the perfect stay. Two nights far too short. English and Spanish both spoken fluently. The outdoor area is very relaxing, well landscaped and a friendly rabbit welcomes guests on occasion. There is gated parking. The rooms are comfortable and the whole establishment is very clean. We had scrambled eggs for breakfast and dinner was excellent both nights. Location is 10 mins from Chiclayo center, witch market and airport. Taxis a few dollars. Pre Columbian sites nearby. John hailed a passing bus for Pimental beach (one soles = 33 US cents) and early afternoon we were lucky enough to see a fleet of fishermen in their reed boats come into shore with their catch of the day. These boats were used pre- Hispanic days and still used today. Visa accepted. We hope to...
Read more😊: The room is as it is described in Booking.com. The room was spacious and clean when we arrived. The room was cleaned and stocked daily. The pool was nice and refreshing after a busy day sightseeing. John and his wife were friendly and helpful. John gave us some good recommendations for Chiclayo. We enjoyed the breakfast with scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, and freshly baked buns daily. 😋. 😢: Thank you for a delightful stay. This is a recommendation to add a small bar fridge in the room so that people can keep drinks (water, Gatorade, and beer) cold. After spending a few days in the hot sun we were needing to replenish our...
