The hotel and service at PiscoMar was the one of the highlights of our short trip down to Pisco. The hotel is new, and is kept very clean by the staff. The room was large, was cleaned thoroughly during our stay, and anything we needed was readily attended to. Adrian does any amazing job keeping everyone happy and the place in order, and always with a smile on his face! The parking was helpful for us as we had come with a rental car, and was conveniently located just a few doors down (we were a bit nervous about it at first but it was fine and lots of cars/buggies were kept there). The breakfast was simple yet the eggs were made-to-order and filling! Overall, a great hotel for a great value in Pisco!||The only small complaint we had was the noise, as Peruvians love to honk their horns all day and night and windows are thin with no insulation (typical of Peru). We had opted for the ocean-facing room, which was nice because we had a sunny view, but it was also facing the road and so you really do need earplugs to go to sleep - which fortunately we had. That isn't the hotel's fault, of course, but it is worth mentioning.||Pisco itself doesn't really have much to do, but it is a good base for Paracas or even Ica, which is where we visited...
Read moreWe had a great time staying in Hostal Piscomar. The people were very friendly and extremely helpful. We could book tours here, like Islas Ballestas, Paracas National Reserve and Ica/Huacachina. They also helped us with making our own Pisco Sour, which was very nice.||Communication was a little difficult at first because most of them didn't speak English, but (thanks to Google Translate) we could always understand each other :)||The room had a good bed and a fan, and they also provided an "anti-mosquito plug" which worked very well (no mosquito bites for the both of us! Even though there were a lot of mosquitos outside). Every morning we got delicious breakfast (eggs, bread, coffee/tea and fresh juice). ||Except for the beach, there is not much to do in the area around the hotel. However, for just 2 soles, you can take a "motor taxi" to the city centre where there's lots of restaurants and supermarkets etc. It is just 5 to 10 minutes away.||All in all, I definitely would recommend this hotel to anybody...
Read moreWe stayed at this quaint little hotel for one night 2 rooms. Nice, clean and very friendly staff. I would have recommand this hotel but we have forgot our telephone and 2 Ipads in the room, we have called during the afternoon after our check out to ask if our room was rented already and to keep our electronics until we came back the next week. They have said not to have found those items but not have rented the room. It is obvious that one of the employee keep those either the maid or the reception employee that went and check. Back home, we have localised the IPad in the neibourhood but cannot do anything from Canada. So do not forget any valuables there you won't...
