Lake Titicaca hotel — Hotel in Puno

Expensive and bad hotel.|We paid 377 soles/night (around 100 USD), what is really overpriced for this hotel.||The hotel has no heating integrated in the rooms, so they give you a portable oil heating. When we arrived the room was frozen, and with this heating is imposible to heat up the room. We needed to ask for another one.||The room is renewed and cute, that’s the best part of the stay. The toilet is really cold so we needed to close the door and freeze when we went into it.||Breakfast also bad.||We took a tour, and it was very expensive for the service and tour done. 3 hour tour to UROS was more expensive than 1 full day tour in Cusco to Humantay or 7 colours mountain.||For finishing the stay, we ask the hotel for a taxi to Juliaca Airport and for 90 soles they gave us the worst and oldest taxi ever. Very nice hotel located about 10 minutes from city center. Clean, well lit, great staff. Rooms are clean, well decorated, roomy and bathrooms are a nice size. Ñ

The restaurant serves really good food and the wait staff is very formal and attentive. Had one issue with the restaurant. I ordered a club sandwich, but it was served without a key ingredient…bacon. I brought this to there attention and they said they had run out. Which is fine…I understand these things happen, but I should’ve been told prior to them serving me the sandwich so I could decide whether I still wanted the sandwich.

I brought this up to the head waiter after we finished and expressed my dissatisfaction. He apologized and offered me something to make up for the mistake. I refused because I didn’t want anything…I just wanted to bring to their attention so it doesn’t happen to another customer.

We left very happy...
