This is a 2 star hotel at best. Bad service, worn out rooms, and no central heating or a/c. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
First, the pros: The hotel is located on Lake Titikaka so it has beautiful views. The back of the hotel has alpacas and guinea pigs grazing with beautiful gazebos where you can sit and sip drinks while watching the views. The restaurant is surprisingly good for lunch and dinner. Order off the menu. Breakfast buffet is NOT good.
Cons: The hot water in the bathtub came out brown. I don't want to know why. The hot water in bathroom sink was fine however. The beds are extra firm so forget about a good night's rest as every pressure point will have you tossing and turning throughout the night. Prepare to be nickel and dimed. The hotel provides 2 free bottles of water the first night and then charges for every subsequent night. The carpet, curtains, furniture and walls need a major overhaul. There were cracks along the doors and wouldn't shut. The bed and bathrooms were mostly clean though. The in room safe was so tiny, it only fit some jewelry. There's no way a laptop or larger tablet would fit. There is no central heating and air conditioning anywhere in the hotel, and they provided a space heater in our room when it was 30F degrees. The restaurant was freezing so any hot food turned ice cold within a few minutes. They had space heaters and fireplaces throughout the lobby and restaurant but only seemed to turn it on at night. The computer in the business center doesn't have a printer. You have to pick up your print outs at the front desk. When I got to the front desk to pick up our boarding passes, they weren't there and the front desk person asked me which printer I had printed to. I told them whichever one is installed in the business center. Then I asked her if she can print them for me and she wanted me to email the boarding passes to her. I asked her to go to LAN website and use the confirmation code to get them. Service is not high on their priority list here. Oh, and you get 15 minutes of internet for free. After that, they charge you $2 per 30 minutes. The breakfast buffet is dismal and very sad. Everything tasted as if it had been left out for a while, and possibly...
