Hotel Hospedaje O' Donovan — Hotel in Tacna

A mere 10-minute walk from the bus terminal, this hotel is in a much safer and quieter neighbourhood. The room was fine, although a bit pricey for the location, but the service was abysmal. We rang the bell several times, but nobody opened the door. Then the phone rang, and suddenly a young girl, who had been chatting at the corner, came running. "You come for the phone, but not for us ringing the bell?" I complained. It took a few repeats of this until she apologised. My Spanish is pretty good, but she rattled at a speed that I could not understand anything. I told her that that was equally inappropriate. To no avail. The next morning she got the breakfast order wrong, and when I complained about that, she blamed it on some other person although I had seen her collect the rolls from the cart from our window. Clearly, she had been in charge of breakfast. Top all that with the fact that in the evening there were no restaurants open in the Odonovan ubicación and the taxi from the bus terminal cost as much to there as to downtown, we should have chosen a hotel downtown.
