We went for two days and we ended up staying 8 days. We felt like home there, as it is a family business run by Roger and Maria, charming and homey. If a couple of kilometres from Puerto Maldonado which means that is quiet and next to the jungle, away from the busy and noisy streets. Is the perfect place to relax if you have been traveling for a while or if you like that jungle and you want to get to know it better. Roger is the person in charge and he also makes small tours around the natural reserve and if you can, do them all as is one of the few tours that take time and Roger has examples and knows absolutely everything about the flora and animals of the area, also he is very generous with his time. I couldn’t recommend this place more! We were so happy that we painted a mural in the principal hall.

Highly recommended! Great hostel, family owned. In nature just by the river (Tambopata) yet not very far from the city (about 5 to 10 minute drive). The river/jungle tour was incredible and is highly recommended! Breakfast was good and there is a very nice kitchen for those wishing to cook. The rooms have a fan and each bed has a mosquito net. Shared bathroom. Great spaces for chill time with hammocks. A simple bar with basics (water, bear, coconut water ect'..). All in all, Loved it and highly recommend it! 💜

Highly recommended! A great hostel, nice and clean rooms, a wonderful friendly and openminded family! If you stay here you feel more like part of the family than a guest. Good food, delicious breakfast! The owners show you around and introduce you to the nature and animals living there. Wonderful! The hostel is about 10 minutes outside of the city located, what makes it to a special silent place.

Not good for solo travelers nor for long stays. I left early as it wasn't a nice place to stay. ||||I arrived around 1pm, was quickly shown my room then the owner disappeared and the next time he spoke to me was at 8pm. ||A group of travelers however, were picked up from the airport, given coconuts on arrival and tours explained to them. ||||My room was next to the toilets so I could constantly smell the toilets while in my room. Some rooms couldn't be locked, same with one of the showers and toilets. There wasn't even a latch to keep the door closed. Toilets are poorly designed, in one when you are sitting on the toilet a urinal is cms from your face.||||The owner's kid is very attention seeking and will take your food or belongings for attention if you are in the common areas. He spits and throws food for attention. He went into my room without permission and a group suspects he was in their room while we were on a tour, as their unlockable door was open when we came back.||||The accommodation is too far from town and the owner is hard to find during the day. It is confusing as to what meals are included and what are an extra cost. There is nothing to do outside of tours and is too far from town. It's not even quiet at night, as neighbours play music and dogs bark constantly.||||Tours are ok but feel unsafe on his boat as it has a leak and he is constantly bailing out the water. It is a perfect place if you want to stay at a family oriented place, full of values and caring. Maria runs the hostel taking care of you, cooking the most delicious-homemade food at the right price, it cost me 10 soles per meal. Roger is the most loving animal and nature care taker. He is very knowgleable, he took us to a sunset spot which made us feel so special creatures in the mid of the Amazon. The sunrise ride doesn't require a minimal number of tourists, and is not a mere sunrise it's a spectacle. I highly recommend Isuyama of you want to make a read and deep connection with mother Earth without paying any crazy price for it. The beds are confortable with mosquitoes net, there are two hammock and lots of common area to hang out and meet other travelers. The only point to make it better is to have the kitchen and bathroom a little cleaner, but I also understand that because is open the trees make them dirty few minutes after cleaning. *Talk to them in person to get a better price, Booking prices were crazy at the...
