EKO Kuelap, LODGE & TURISMO ALTERNATIVO — Hotel in Tingo

We stayed at Eko kuelap in June 2017 and were really glad we did! If you are wondering if it is a good idea to stay in Nuevo Tingo (instead of Chachapoyas) you should not hesitate to stay in this beautiful place. Staying here allows you to enjoy the beautiful area which includes the gorgeous region surrounding Kuelap. We were hosted by Maud and Carlin, who welcomed us with open arms, wonderful food and a very unique special energy . Maud made amazing mouth watering Raclette for dinner and tasty breakfast for us each morning; she and Carlin shared with us many observations about the local area which were helpful for us to learn about this beautiful region of Peru. Carlin brought out some of his many musical instruments and played several beautiful musical pieces for us during our stay in this wonderful place. Had we known about the extensive, carefully-designed 'off the beaten track' walking tours to unique and lesser traveled locations that Carlin arranges --he knows this area like the back of his hand, has studied the area extensively and is a tour guide-- we certainly would have stayed longer in this area! We have stayed at EkoKuelap on repeated occasions. It's a great place to stay in Nuevo Tingo. As a couple we stayed in the "chosita", a comfortable and cute 2-floor room, made of natural materials. Maud & Carlin are wonderful hosts, always attentive and generous. They also provide tons of tips to visit the area, not only for the must-visit places but also more alternative sites. Food is prepared by Maud with local ingredients, her specialty is the French Raclette! You won't find it anywhere else. We recommend staying at EkoKuelap if you plan to visit Kuelap...

Je vous recommande fortement les lodges d eko kuelap qui se situent à Nuevo Tingo juste à côté du téléphérique pour monter au site archéologique de kuelap (que j ai adoré). Si vous êtes à la recherche de confort et d une expérience authentique vous pouvez allez à eko kuelap les yeux fermés. Un couple franco péruvien avec leurs enfants vraiment adorables, j ai passé un super moment ressourçant, une super ambiance dans un cadre vraiment chouette. Vous pouvez y rester même plusieurs jours car il y a d autres petits sites archéologiques au alentours vraiment sympa à faire. De plus ils ont une agence et peuvent vous organiser des voyages dans tout le perou qui sortent vraiment des sentiers battus, surtout en amazonas qui est une magnifique région avec beaucoup de choses à faire et trop méconnue je trouve ! Ils m ont tout organisé pour faire le trek de la laguna de los cóndores avec un guide génial et au meilleur prix. C était une des meilleures expériences de ma vie et ça change du Sud très touristique. De plus ils m ont beaucoup conseillé sur la suite de mon itinéraire et de mes expériences. Ps: vous pouvez y manger une raclette si vous en faites...
